We learned that 12 people can drown out the biased media and Democrats who convicted him within hours of the incident, and carefully review the evidence and testimony, apply it to the law and reach the correct verdict.
@NativePortlander1970 at first Biden told reporters he respected the verdict of the jury and then an hour later released a statement saying he’s confused and angry about the verdict. He is an utter embarrassment to this country.
@JesseInTX Very interesting coming from the puppet of one of the strongest and richest corporations, DuPont, that made its fortunes off the manufacture and sale of gun powder, a corporation so powerful that DC's main beltway is called DuPont Circle.
@NativePortlander1970 DuPont Circle's name is a corruption of the meteorological term, "dew point." There used to be a weather vane and other meteorological devices at that location. Dew Point Circle became DuPont Circle.
I learned that if you bring an AK to the streets instead of play video games like most normal 17 year olds, are part of a right wing militia who called you to the streets and put yourself in a position to have to kill others.. you are not responsible for your actions. But that's only if you're conservative and white, if you're a liberal, they'd hang you.. particularly if you're black.
So that's what I learned and I'm not being sarcastic, this is my lesson from this.
@IronHamster Okay well it's there for everyone to plainly see that there were other reasons for those shootings, not one case was your boogeyman. I'm not going to read those cases and then make up a bunch of stuff that isn't there, I posted what actually happened and I'm sorry you can't accept that.
But hey, since you care so much about racism, how about that incident in CHOP where the Proud Boys called a man the N word near the Seattle zone and promptly shot them.
That was terrible wasn't it?
You should denounce the Proud Boys since you feel so strongly about racism.
@IronHamster I provided link to your claims and they mostly turned out to be either personal feuds, two didn't report on who did it, two were shot for stealing a car at knifepoint or people who drove into protesters to hurt them. I knew if I asked you outright you would just straw man so I wanted to show you who the victims were and what happened.
Now that I've proven you wrong, I'll bite and ask to show some type of evidence, so show it.
Hmmm ... if there is a lesson learned, it's that when there is an episode of police misconduct, it doesn't give some people a right to destroy the city and the property of innocent people. And, if the politicians that run the city, county and state don't take the immediate steps to protect their city and the property of the innocent, expect that the locals who do love their city to step in and try to protect their city from those trying to destroy it. And, if those who are trying to burn down their city threaten the lives of those trying to protect their city, then using deadly force to defend oneself is justified.
@Nudistsue26 it’s obvious that @Carlisle didn’t see any of the trial and has an aversion to facts and evidence. We’ve hurt her feelings so let’s let her retire to her “safe space”.
@Oberon1 no shit. The little wannabe fascist got off. Doesn't change what he did was wrong. I hope the victims families sue the little shit into insolvency.
Really, its just an individual jury verdict, and this kid got off.
I'd love it if we learned something about some really screwed up laws like the initial aggressor docrine and self defense and started talking about why they present problems, but i doubt that's going to happen.
More likely, we'll be coping with a license to hunt, open carry, and racial stuff, which this case really shouldn't have been about for the jury.
Perhaps if politicians enabled the police to do their jobs, instead of standing back and doing nothing while Antifa riots and destroys stuff, citizens wouldn’t be compelled to take matters into their own hands.
What the members of SW aren't talking about here. Kyle Rittenhouse killed 3 Jewish men. Wisconsin is a very racially charged and tensed state. Rittenhouse has extremist views when it comes to politics and that is no secret. His Right Wing affiliations and ideology gave him the motivation to react during that riot. Was it self defense ? Of course it was. But it was also instigated. And we must remember that. 🙂
@Zonuss Wow! Talk about a stretch! No dude. BLM made sure to piss off the whole country with their bullying and destruction. I remember the idiots trying to force the non-involved to raise their fists. Oh yeah! BLM got a lot of whiteys on their side by harassing, vandalizing, burning, looting, beating, and killing people who had no idea WTF was going on. BLM was / is nothing but a scam. Somebody got multiple mansions in the whole mess! Gosh oh golly!
@Oberon1 Yeah. Pretty typical of social justice warriors. They travel to other cities to burn down black businesses and kill black people in the name of racism. No shit.
@Oberon1 Sounds almost exactly like an old dynamic I had with somebody. That's a good thing to have there, mate. I knew you were a nice guy. I know the feeling of being complete opposites even if I'm a more meet in the middle type, but it is often taken to mean something else, y'know? Like I don't care enough or something, but I do care actually - too much sometimes.
It just sucks when people can't just set some stuff aside for the bigger picture or concede a good point or go sniping without wanting to respect a genuinely different viewpoint. That drives me nuts. It does get frustrating so then I just remind myself everyone is set in their ways I guess. I feel like meaningful dialogue is dying.
Also I know i myself have trolled or thrown some ridiculous things out there. that is as much just to see what happens and then I get bored so i do apologise about that. but I can tell when someone is trying just to 'score a point' at my or someone else's expense if you catch my drift. It is in the politicians' interest to keep everybody divided. Never forget that. You are actually a lot more powerful together. that is in your interest.
Left and right voters should never stay estranged even if it seems that way now. They should always work together. 🤞
@SW-User The problem arises when one group sees the other group as a threat to their religion, culture, gender, ethnicity, politics, identity, family, possessions, person, or patriotism. 😆 (Such trifles should surely be put aside easily enough!) When that happens, is when we dehumanize each other in preparation for eventual dispatch! We've been doing this for 50 some odd thousand years or so according to anthropologists.
That there's a clear bias from supporters of Rittenhouse. Everyone Rittenhouse decided to shoot will be said to have been violent in some way shape or form, even if it's clearly the opposite
@Babylon Likely because its irrelevant to the actions he was charged with, yet the indoctrinated cannot stop obsessing over bullshit minutiae straight from the bullshit MSM and demanding a purity test imposed upon Rittenhouse decisions, and actions that you aren't applying to the people he killed, nor the media and culture for pushing a bullshit narrative about white supremacy that could have gotten Rittenhouse imprisoned or killed.
Once again. This trial proved it's ok to be an armed civilian and invite or invite violence. The truth is that Kyle Rittenhouse went outside knowing he could and would kill someone trying to protect themselves from his vigilante behavior. This sets a dangerous precedent for America. And it may very well encourage more unnecessary violence towards protestors who are operating within the law.
Well, I'm not surprised BLM wants to disassociate itself from Antifa, and I have nothing against peaceful protests as long as they really remain peaceful. But I also so plenty of videos of black people at night, looting and burning stores. Now admittedly, they weren't wearing BLM badges, so I'm sure BLM can claim "it wasn't us!"
@DownTheStreet all the broke woke folk are doing the same thing. Rule of law be damned! They refuse to accept that this was a trial about 'self defense' vs 'murder' and not social justice du jour.
That the constitution is still intact, That the land of the free still has some evidence of freedom, that an angry crowd criminals are not allowed to chase you down and kill you , that the socialist regime tried to make this case in the media rather than in the court room , because they knew they didnt have the evidence.
@spjennifer Um. I tell you what. Let me point a loaded pistol at you, after you sign a release that I can shoot you with impunity, and how safe will you feel, knowing you might be on your last breath.
@IronHamster Hmm, well with over 35 years in the Military and multiple deployments to war zones, I've had many weapons pointed at me and been shot at and shot so yeah, go ahead and point a loaded weapon at me, but don't fucking miss. I still have more brains than to steal a weapon and go into a riot thinking i'm GI fucking Joe. We saw lots of stupid kids like him with exactly the same attitude go home in a flag draped coffin...
@TheyitisRemember. Random people were fed evidence from both sides of the issue, and, even though, it was a big risk for them, they unanimously decided to deliver a "not guilty" verdict. Think about the time the trial took, and then think about the time the deliberation took. Can you really still cling to the lies of the chronic liars who want violence and destruction?
@SW-User People are going to take that game-show orientation no matter what because it's entertaining to them. I think televising the proceedings is useful even at the risk of it being turned into sound-bite propaganda for any side to argue their point of view.
One thing to think about is that Rittenhouse had an excellent defense lawyer who did a great job at exposing the political motives of the prosecutors and keeping the prosecutor's lack of evidence at the forefront.
What would have happened if Rittenhouse had been represented by a court appointed attorney?
@Heartlander anytime a defence attorney can get the prosecutions witnesses to change sides on the stand it's not that one attorney is smart it's just that one is either stupid or threw the case on purpose
@MarineBob :) ... there were a few times when I thought Binger may have been intentionally trying to throw the case. Like a quarterback fading back and back to get beyond field goal range before being sacked. But then he just retreated to an attempt at an emotional hail mary. At one point it looked like he simply handed the judge a good reason for a mistrial.
@SW-User You asked me to agree to your premise setting the table to mandate how everyone should behave. I don't intend to have you dictate my behaviour. Are we clear?
We learned 12 people who were instructed in the law saw it as self defense. Nothing more. Nothing less. The scary part for me is that almost half the states now have no license concealed carry laws
@JimboSaturn I wasn’t there and IDK. Where did you go to law school btw? Nah I’m Just joking. Everyone here is a medical, legal. And political expert 😂
We learned that a minor, who had no business being where he was, carrying a weapon he had no legal right to carry, can shoot 3 people and get away with it, plain and simple.
@SumKindaMunster I'm sure you support other mass shooters too who had every right to be there with their guns, killing people, speaking of boring 🥱 The peaceful protesters did have every right to be there, the violent ones, no.
That's not the lesson. The real lesson is democracy means you can't always have your own way. And, that a poorly administered prosecution never leads to a conviction. And, finally and perhaps most important, using violence to solve a problem never is ideal for anyone concerned.
@MarkPaul He seems that way to you because you listen to shit news sources. Why do you take their abuse and ALWAYS come back for more. Fix your malfunction.
@IronHamster And, you think you listen to reputable news sources and have no malfunctions. Look inside yourself before you tell other people what to do. You just might find you can stop feeling like a pathetic victim.
@IronHamster One of my course classmates brought that up, the instructor said that deliberate groin shots in combat is considered an unwritten rule to never do, and said it should be a part of the Geneva Convention.
Ugh, no. The lesson is to stop listening to sensationalized media, your like minded friends, and your social media followers and challenge yourself to keep an open mind and read, listen or watch other perspectives to what you already believe and make up your own mind as to what is true.
Ah yes, one of the more popular false claims still being touted by election result deniers. This is an old red herring. A study by the conservative Heritage Foundation in 2019 found only 19 cases of someone voting in the name of a dead person over the preceding two decades. There has been no confirmed evidence of it happening last fall. And the one specific claim offered by the Trump campaign – about a Pennsylvania woman who died before election day but still voted – turned out to be a legal mail-in ballot sent in by her family after she passed away.
As you can see the Far Right lunatics on this site are barking the loudest. They know they are losing. Their own ways have weakened their resolve and has left them with an inevitable transparency. So no need to worry my Liberal and Moderate friends. We are here to stay. 🙂🇺🇲
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays That's bad advice, if you want to shoot someone in WI you have to make sure you're right leaning and work for a militia. It's only under those circumstances that you'll get the patriotic crowd to do literally anything. It only works if you have specific traits.
@SatanBurger It's like trying to overturn an election. It only works if you're right leaning and your supporters belong to militias. Funny thing how those two things are related.
