So what did we learn from the Rittenhouse trial?

Because it feels like the lesson is 'shoot back'. Is the law really going to rule "Last one alive is innocent"?

I can't speak for "We" but for me personally, it's an affirmation for why my goal is to relocate to Puerto Vallarta Mexico for the rest of my life.

I can no longer live in a country where hatred, bigotry, and "Kangaroo courts" are the order of the day.

@Grateful4you I was in sayulita when the borders started closing last year - lovely area, lots of expats. I thought about weathering the pandemic there - sort of wish I did.

@Grateful4you got space for one more?
@Grateful4you As a Canadian I am glad there is 360 miles of nothing between me and Bismark North Dakota.
@QuixoticSoul I've been researching various favorites of ex- pats. for several years. One of my criteria is to be close to the ocean, I realize that any area will have pitfalls but so far, this town seems to be the perfect fit for me. I will check out Sayulita though. Thanks bud.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow I lived in N.D several decades. I adored Winnipeg and preferred flying "Air Canada" for a number of reasons. I would move there if I could afford to.
@Grateful4you Been in Winterpeg for 20 years.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Really? I used to go several times each summer. Usually the Zoo, Horse races, the River Rouge and "Old Spaghetti Factory" I saw "Star Wars" there. It's a truly lovely city and I generally avoid cities.
@Grateful4you Yep. Not sure if I will stay in the city though but probably close. My sister is out in the country and it turns out I kind of like the rural setting better than the inner city.

The Old Spaghetti Factory is at The Forks now but still around. I have mostly gone to the zoo with my nieces these days.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Great to hear it's still around. I once went to a Laser light show at the planetarium, when we came out, mother nature was having her own lightning show, talk about being OVER stimulated. Geez, my dopamine levels where out of the roof.
@Grateful4you And you actually think Mexico is a saint by comparison? They are the country of corrupt Kangaroo courts and bigotry, they despise anyone that isn't Mexican.
@NativePortlander1970 I never said that. While I respect your opinion, after three years of researching and listening to U.S ex.pats. I'm satisfied Mexico meets my personal criteria.
@Grateful4you
I can no longer live in a country where hatred, bigotry, and "Kangaroo courts" are the order of the day.

Sure sounds to me like you did.
@NativePortlander1970 I meant, never implied "Saintly"
@Grateful4you Very cool.
@Grateful4you Read your own god damned words, again, you WERE making that implication.
@NativePortlander1970 Why so angry? You have the right to love the USA. I have the right not to. Be at peace and seek happiness. Bye.
@Grateful4you Then get the fuck out of my country, ungrateful piece of shit.
@NativePortlander1970 (((HUGS))) Enjoy your evening. 😇
@NativePortlander1970 Weed is legal in Oregon now. Sounds like you need to mellow out a bit. That is alot of anger you got there.
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow And yet I DO NOT LIVE in Oregon at this moment, or ANY OTHER legal state.

@Grateful4you Your choice is your choice, but if you're relocating to another country to escape hatred and bigotry, it is an exercise in futility. Any place inhabited by humans is going to have that, no matter where in the world you are. I'm not saying its right, I am merely saying its part of the human condition. Bigotry does not exist only in America.
@SW-User Of course, I agree with your logic here. I have other reasons as well. I've given this quite a bit of thought. Most of all, having grown up as a beach boy living close to the ocean this is where I want to spend my last day's. Economically, in the USA oceanside living is no longer a viable option.
SW-User
@Grateful4you True, beachside living is pricey here.
@SW-User I appreciate your objectivity as opposed to unwarranted rage and much to do about nothing but my insignificant opinion.

@Grateful4you I still love America and what this country stands for, don't get me wrong.
