So what did we learn from the Rittenhouse trial?

Because it feels like the lesson is 'shoot back'. Is the law really going to rule "Last one alive is innocent"?

We learned that a minor, who had no business being where he was, carrying a weapon he had no legal right to carry, can shoot 3 people and get away with it, plain and simple.
Nudistsue26 · 31-35, F
@spjennifer How didn't he have a right to carry the gun.
@spjennifer I think long guns are unrestricted

@Nudistsue26

"Open carry is legal anywhere concealed carry is legal. It is legal for all adults unless they are prohibited from possession of firearms. Wisconsin state law 948.60(2)(a) states: "Any person under 18 years of age who possesses or goes armed with a dangerous weapon is guilty of a Class A misdemeanor."

An AR 15 isn't a "long gun" it's a semi-automatic weapon.
Nudistsue26 · 31-35, F
@spjennifer I own a long gun. A 22 caliber that is semi automatic
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@Nudistsue26 A .22 caliber isn't considered a "long gun", not that it can't kill someone.
Nudistsue26 · 31-35, F
@spjennifer Its a rifle

@spjennifer Hours before closing arguments began on Monday, Judge Bruce Schroeder granted a defense motion to toss out the misdemeanor weapons charge. Rittenhouse attorneys pointed to an exception in the law that they said allows minors to possess shotguns and rifles as long as they’re not short-barreled. The judge agreed and the prosecutors forfeited the right to charge this or for the jury to consider this.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@spjennifer Kyle was in legal possession of the rifle, as per Wisconsin statutes. Get your news from more reliable sources.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@IronHamster We get it, he's your hero now, next he'll be running for Governor 🥴
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@spjennifer If you were informed with the truth, you'd be in agreement with me. You can listen to lies from your old sources, but shouldn't you feel mad about being misled?
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@IronHamster By "The truth" I'm quite certain you mean your version of the truth. The facts are evident from the trial; a 17 year old armed minor was driven downtown by his Mother and he shot 3 people. He wasn't called upon by either of Law Enforcement, the Government or the Military to do this, he went their of his own will and killed others... he should never have been there in the first place and certainly not armed. Nothing to do with whether he was attacked and had to defend himself, he shouldn't have been there to begin with, and that's the truth.
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@spjennifer Nope. His mother didn't drive him. Your argument against him is no different than blaming a rape victim because she wore the wrong clothing.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@IronHamster Please don't project your sick fantasies onto my words, there is a vast difference between the clothing a "rape victim wore" and him being armed and killing people. Regardless of how he got there, he had no business being there in the first place and certainly not armed with a weapon he procured illegally by taking it. Real life is not some Playstation game, people died...
IronHamster · 56-60, M
@spjennifer I thought that was your fantasy. Definitely not mine.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@IronHamster Troll 🤮
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@spjennifer I'm so bored with this viewpoint, "he wasn't supposed to be there", it's false, he had every right to be there, and if you feel this way about Rittenhouse, then the protestors who got shot shouldn't have been there either.
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@SumKindaMunster I'm sure you support other mass shooters too who had every right to be there with their guns, killing people, speaking of boring 🥱 The peaceful protesters did have every right to be there, the violent ones, no.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@spjennifer Congratulations this the dumbest reply I've ever gotten.

Let me highlight so I can admire your ignorance.

The peaceful protesters did have every right to be there, the violent ones, no.
🤣🤣🤣
spjennifer · 56-60, T
@SumKindaMunster Aww, I'm so touched, coming from an idiot like you that is indeed high praise 😆
