So what did we learn from the Rittenhouse trial?

Because it feels like the lesson is 'shoot back'. Is the law really going to rule "Last one alive is innocent"?

Maybe that "peaceful" protests that involve burning and looting, may be met with "peaceful" consequences
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@Coffeequilt

Especially when the police are ordered to stand down by cowardly politicians.
@Coffeequilt So more veiled threats of political violence and extra judicial executions in the street. Welcome to the banana republic.

@Thinkerbell More conspiracy theories I see.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
@Coffeequilt “mostly” peaceful protests . Lol (while the city burns in the background)
Coffeequilt · 51-55, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow not sure what you are trying to say
Coffeequilt · 51-55, F
@Thinkerbell THAT was criminal
Heartlander · 80-89, M
@Thinkerbell Maybe another way to look at it is that those cowardly politicians wanted to incite the riots because racial discord serves their political interest. It's like the chaos at the border and an unsettled immigration policy serves them politically.

After all it's those cowardly politicians who empower the police and pass the laws and policies that govern their behavior. With police behavior, the buck doesn't stop at the police chief's desk, it goes on to city hall and the desk of the mayor and city council members.

Maybe those cowardly politicians are more interested in fanning the flames of a racial uprising than finding solutions to the issues of lack of social justice for racial minorities.
@Coffeequilt Seemed like a pretty obvious endorsement of sectarian violence to me.

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Now you've done it. You've confused @Coffeequilt by using big words.
Coffeequilt · 51-55, F
@LordShadowfire I am confused, please explain it to me, WITHOUT quoting CNN. Think about it and try to explain in your own words.
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@Coffeequilt Okay. A super conservative white kid who hangs out with militia types borrowed an AR-15, went across state lines to a state where he wasn't legal to have it, all to go watch a BLM protest. To me, that sounds like a youngster who was looking for trouble. And when he found it, he pulled the trigger. He was literally looking to piss people off and provoke a fight so that he'd be justified in killing some BLM protesters.
Coffeequilt · 51-55, F
@LordShadowfire
Interesting CNN summary. So the burning, stealing--no problem that's peaceful. White men chasing that white kid and pointing a gun at hit, saying he was going to shoot that white kid-- no problem, also peaceful. Thanks, now I understand your thoughts that were told to you.🤣

@Coffeequilt Translation, vigilantes and DIY paramilitary death squads are awesome. You sound like one of the idiots itching for an excuse to go to a rally and start shooting people because you don't like their politics. Too bad the people doing most of the mayhem and destruction are the same people using it as an excuse to execute people they don't agree with.
Coffeequilt · 51-55, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow Wow, didn't say any of that, but never let facts get in the way. Nancy approves 🤣

Explain that to Newsweek (for example). They seem not to have gotten your memo.
😂 😂 😂

@Heartlander

Yeah, the cowardly politicians' Prime Directive is to get re-elected.
If they are afraid a sufficient number of Democrats won't vote for them if they crack down on looting and burning, then by all means, let the rioters loot and burn. 🤫
@Thinkerbell You seriously posted an article that uses a youtube video as a source? Okay. 🤣

I guess youtubers set department policies now?
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

When you are given an article, Pics, you should read, and not just look at the pictures. I know that's asking a lot of a keyboard commie, but do try. 😂 😂 😂
@Thinkerbell I read it and it reads like something written by Andy Ngo. it is a joke.

But we both know the Kent State massacre is your idea of "good policing."

@PicturesOfABetterTomorrow

Here is an article regarding the Portland police that will outrage you, Picsie.
It seems they don't do much about right-wing bully boys either. 😂😂😂

@Thinkerbell Is anyone surprised pretty much all of the rioting and destruction turned out to be right wing nutjobs? That has only been the tradition since at least the 1960s.
Thinkerbell · 41-45, F
@LordShadowfire

You have no sense of perspective, Lordshadowy, a common lefty failing.
My left wing is at a skew angle (also a common occurrence with the left) and therefore appears narrower. 🤫
LordShadowfire · 100+, M
@Thinkerbell I can't speak for him, but it certainly pisses me off. At the same time, I'm not surprised. The cops are afraid to do the wrong thing these days. They have literally stated that they are done with the whole protest stuff.

Tell me something, though, would you? Why do you think it is that someone decided police should have access to tear gas, when it's been decided that the use of tear gas on the battlefield is a war crime? It's illegal to use on enemy soldiers, but it's somehow okay to use on civilians?
