So what did we learn from the Rittenhouse trial?

Because it feels like the lesson is 'shoot back'. Is the law really going to rule "Last one alive is innocent"?

Nothing, we learned literally nothing.

@BlueVeins Sadly. Especially judging from that vehicle driving into a crowd just now in Wisconsin. Your country is fucking mental. I hope it calms down for you because things are looking horrendous right now.

@SW-User Are you enjoying the struggle? Lets all jump to conclusions about the Christmas parade tragedy, and by all means, let's continue to perpetuate the lies surrounding the Rittenhouse trial that were planted by the democrat propaganda machine! Proof and evidence be damned!

@Oberon1 Yeah man let's...look, I just see people taking shots and stuff here. You're actually a nicer guy than I expected from other posts so I just...I don't really give a stuff about all this. I'm gonna go eat because I need to eat. Just exercise a little common sense is all I'm saying and try to be nice to each other. It doesn't have to be written into any Constitution before any takes it seriously does it? I don't actually care about politics. Only some kind of inherent humanity. I still think you're actually a nice guy and probably just a troll. But not the worst. Gotta get din dins. ✌️

@SW-User I'm not a troll at all. I'm just a paleoconservative who isn't afraid to give his opinion, and at least attempt to expose the lies. Lies that are refuted by actual evidence.
You're right though. People suck, and with more freedom comes more sucking. The USA is the 'wild west' of the western hemisphere.

@Oberon1 Sorry man just before I actually read the words will say sometimes I simply don't know what way to take things on here; it is an existential pocket is all I can say about the place really. I just see less and less maturity. If anything I am a diplomatic type. Shame I couldn't actually do something with it though. but I am also not American, I just have friends there and so I do naturally think about them from time to time and worry.

As long as people respectfully disagree while working toward something better than what else can you do really? Said before it isn't exactly an easy path at the best of times. Just maybe have people engage in the spirit of compromise to get something better and perhaps safer for all if that doesn't sound too pipe dreamy. 👍

@SW-User My best friend is a staunch democrat. We have screaming matches and laugh our butts off about it later. I can't wrap my mind around the way he thinks, and he can't wrap his mind around the way I think. We are both completely baffled and befuddled by each others perspectives. I call him a "bomb throwing Bolshevik" and he calls me "a right wing Trumpie". We both call each other "stupid" and other such adjectives, but we would do just about anything for each other, and we get along great.

@Oberon1 Sounds almost exactly like an old dynamic I had with somebody. That's a good thing to have there, mate. I knew you were a nice guy. I know the feeling of being complete opposites even if I'm a more meet in the middle type, but it is often taken to mean something else, y'know? Like I don't care enough or something, but I do care actually - too much sometimes.

It just sucks when people can't just set some stuff aside for the bigger picture or concede a good point or go sniping without wanting to respect a genuinely different viewpoint. That drives me nuts. It does get frustrating so then I just remind myself everyone is set in their ways I guess. I feel like meaningful dialogue is dying.

Also I know i myself have trolled or thrown some ridiculous things out there. that is as much just to see what happens and then I get bored so i do apologise about that. but I can tell when someone is trying just to 'score a point' at my or someone else's expense if you catch my drift. It is in the politicians' interest to keep everybody divided. Never forget that. You are actually a lot more powerful together. that is in your interest.

Left and right voters should never stay estranged even if it seems that way now. They should always work together. 🤞

@SW-User The problem arises when one group sees the other group as a threat to their religion, culture, gender, ethnicity, politics, identity, family, possessions, person, or patriotism. 😆 (Such trifles should surely be put aside easily enough!) When that happens, is when we dehumanize each other in preparation for eventual dispatch! We've been doing this for 50 some odd thousand years or so according to anthropologists.
