Do you believe in God’s existence?

I hope 🤞 God is real.
@LadyGrace anyone I’m done. You’re right I despise the Christian Taliban and their insistent on Christian sharia law.
@Ryderbike You are going under the old biblical laws. Those were the days in which the laws were being established AND disobeyed by people. After Jesus died on the cross, a New Covenant was established. We don't tell God what to do. He always knows best. Even if we can't understand it or see His reasoning now. We don't get to make the rules. Who are we to judge God? God doesn't think in the finite way humans do, with little wisdom. His ways are a million times higher than ours and pure and good and true. He doesn't make mistakes . Don't twist that around. You do not know better than God, none of us do, and you think you know God but there are many things you don't know nor I as well because God did not seek to reveal them to us yet. Because those were not the most important things to know. The most important thing he wants us to know is how to get to heaven and will find out the rest later, but that is the most important thing to know. It is obvious by your statements that you have judged him wrong.

Part of the reason that God commanded Israel to take over and destroy the other nations in those days, were that they were sacrificing their own children in the fire and this was a great abomination to God. He hates this and God has stated that He would not even hold His own nation guiltless of this crime (2 Kings 17:17-18, Psalm 106:35-38) because they allowed it.

If the mother doesn’t want the baby and neither does the father and the plan is to abort him or her, then that child is still an orphan in God’s eyes and it is nothing less than murder to God. It is a human being, even before birth as Jeremiah and David wrote under the inspiration of God (Jer 1:5, Psalm 139:13-15 and elsewhere).
@Ryderbike Oh now you're putting words in my mouth hahaha. Whatever.

Well, I would rather believe in God now and then find out after I die that he doesn't exist
rather than not believe in Him now and find out after I die that He does exist. LOL

Seriously though, I do believe in God and in Jesus Christ and the power of prayer.
@Lynda70 Sadly, that would not end well. This is the reason Jesus came to Earth so that we could know and not have to guess.
@Ynotisay
Assuming your talking about the Christian god but wouldn't he prefer a non-believer who lived a good, honest and just life and helped others over a believer who lived with hate, anger and hurt people?
I am sure God would, but that's not the point. The issue at hand is not about who's good or who is bad. We do not get to heaven by good performance. That is crystal clear in the Word of God. It is important not to miss what the Lord said is his standard for salvation. People do not miss Heaven because they have been good or bad. They miss it because we were all born with a sinful nature which keeps us separated from God until our sins are forgiven, and we cannot bring that sinful nature with us to heaven as it is a pure and holy place. Therefore, Jesus said if we ask him to forgive us of our sins, he will blot them out and remember them no more and we will be in right standing to enter the kingdom of heaven when we die.

@LadyGrace
This is the reason Jesus came to Earth so that we could know and not have to guess.
That's just your opinion. There's no real evidence the biblical Jesus even existed, never mind being some form of god. You're just trying to turn people away from Odin. That's cruel but it's the type of evil action I've come to expect from christians. :(

Carazaa · F
❤️ Absolutely! The things happening in the world now, famines, worldwide inflation (he even mentions wheat shortage), pestilences, terrors, civil strife in every country, falling away from faith, false religions, mocking the Bible, increase travel, increase knowledge, increase cold hearts and hatred, Jesus talked about would happen in the end times. We are in the end times, and it is important to know that we will be ok if we trust in Jesus. Because there is an eternity, and he will make a new heaven and a new earth soon where there are no more tears.
@Carazaa oh another end of the world claim. This time for sure . Chuckle
@Carazaa 100% accurate!

When I was 17 at the time. Ghost Appears existence and I wasn't High or anything at the Area. I saw a figure drinking something out of his hand and threw a bottle at us but hits my leg. My leg wasn't too hurt from it since my legs are strong as a horse. I do have really strong legs from walking a lot including Miles all my life.

Anyways the Ghost Came from abandoned Trailer that had a History of Witchcraft and Murdering. We discover an old Diary with these informations from the old trailer.

Then I know there's a God. I wasn't focusing only about spirits it's own.

Later on few years I gave my life to Jesus.

It's a weird story how I discovered existence. I didn't know there was a God until I saw a Ghost. More like it backfired against these demons what My mind is Capable of. They thought they can entertain me but I had other thoughts as well and fully aware between truth and the Opposite.
Well a lot of people believe in God's existence, but that does not mean they have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior, and that is the standard God set for receiving salvation. Even Satan believes in God's existence, yet he's not going to heaven. He just knows there is a God, whom he fought to take over His throne.

“There are, after all, atheists who say they wish the fable were true but are unable to suspend the requisite disbelief, or who have relinquished belief only with regret. To this I reply: who wishes that there was a permanent, unalterable celestial despotism that subjected us to continual surveillance and could convict us of thought-crime, and who regarded us as its private property even after we died? How happy we ought to be, at the reflection that there exists not a shred of respectable evidence to support such a horrible hypothesis.”

My god is the sun, I don’t have to believe.
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
@Ducky good point, I adhere to this sometimes, although today I chose to answer this question in terms of an intelligent design god I do think being grateful to the sun makes total sense because everything we are and everything we love wouldn't exist without the sun. it makes more sense to worship the sun than some imaginary tyrant god.
With all my heart, mind, and Spirit. Not one doubt. Not even a little bit. Since Jesus is not here in person anymore, now we believe by faith and by the grace of God. The proof therefore, is in the experience. One cannot miss that. Especially when all believers who accept Jesus as Savior, know when the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in us, confirmed by the scriptures in God's Word. So we believe not by sight, but by faith. And I found out real quick when I was saved, that he is definitely real.

I don’t really know anymore. Often I don’t, but sometimes stumble upon that default I was raised with. But I think I don’t believe in any one interpretation is what it comes down to.
Jokekilla · 26-30, M
Lynda70 · F
No, there no real evidence of it at all. Even those who blindly believe it's real are unable to explain where it came from.
reflectingmonkey · 51-55, M
I personally have no "beliefs" because I don't see the point or the meaning, it seems like a more emotional than intellectual process. its like showing me a box and asking me if i think there is something inside. what I "believe" has no effect on the content of the box and I have no solid information to conclude one or the other. I am not against the idea of intelligent design but in terms of the principle of parsimony I haven't found anything yet which can only be explained by the invention of a god. further, although I am not against the idea that a "god" might exist, I am definitely convinced that the abrahamic idea of god is not it being far too primitive and in fact if there is such a thing as god the abrahamic model would be an insult to the real thing.

@jshm2 "Yes" for you. "No" for me. And since you can't prove me wrong maybe "yes" needs a little qualification.

@jshm2 I tried to heart your answer, but it showed a "down vote" every time, I have no idea why?? I am going to heart it again and copy it for the admin
@Lynda70 Brava! There is little evidence for the Intervening personal god that most people seem to want. Various gods have been described and those that are identified with nature or features of the natural do really exist but clearly are not personal.
GovanDUNNY · 36-40, M
I did. Then something changed my life forever that I will never really get over unless (God) brings back what I lost
No, I'm not superstitious, nor do I subscribe to any type of magical thinking.

Yes. When we are attuned to God and His Holy Spirit, we can even "hear" answers to our questions and prayers, in a still small voice inside our own minds. We can know it is not our own thoughts echoing back to us when the wisdom of the response confounds us...and then we absolutely KNOW the thought came from a Holy and external source.

I believe in the possibility of things well beyond our understanding. But if such a being does exist, and did actually create the universe and everything in it, then the likelihood of him having any special interest in one species out of millions on one planet out of trillions is fairly remote.
Ynotisay · M
No. I do believe it exists in people's minds though. Just like the flat earth and lizard people. Humans believe things and create "facts" to support them. It's how a lot of us roll.
Strongtea · 22-25, M
Interesting question with absolutely no meaning, since belief is not related to truth.
Carazaa · F
@Ryderbike You don't think what you believe in matters? Yes, it matters very much. Why? Because if you believe a lie, you will act according to that lie, and it can result in harm to you and your loved ones. We act out what we believe in. If I believe in Jesus I forgive, and it heals not only me but my relationships.
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
I personally don't believe in God but I believe people are entitled to their own beliefs whether we agree with them or not.
Lostpoet · M
I believe in something bigger than what humanity can grasp.
MartinTheFirst · 22-25, M
@Lostpoet thats a gord
@Lostpoet We may not be able to grasp all, everything about God, but I am thankful that we have God's Word to tell us what He wanted us to know....the most important things, like His standard for salvation.
pentacorn · F
i believe in no god's existence, and that includes whichever god to which you're referring.
Sharon · F
No, there's no evidence to support the god hypothesis and plenty to show that the hypothesis is invalid.
Knowing that is beyond my pay grade.
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@CopperCicada Yeah, but you're not even on the payroll.
@MarkPaul I’m not? What?
MarkPaul · 26-30, M
@CopperCicada Awkward, I know, but it checks out. I'm afraid we can't keep you on.
redredred · M
To which of the 40,000 myths are you referring?
Carazaa · F
@redredred

There is one God who made heaven and earth, His name is Jesus.

The word became flesh. And the word was God! Everything was made by Him, and there was nothing that was not made by him. John 1:1

@Ynotisay
Religions that espouse Creator Deities believe THEIR god is THE god. Don't try to argue that because you can't. That's not a theory. Or an opinion. It's provable and factual.
And don't think you really want my opinion. And I don't really feel like it sharing it with you. It's pointless.
Don't assume. If I didn't want your opinion I would not have asked. I'm not a know-it-all. Your opinion matters. I want to know how you see these other gods. Yes, of course everyone believes that their God is THE God. So what I'm asking you is, how do you think they can say that, the other religions that is, that their God is THE god, when their gods are man-made as we know, which the Bible calls idols, because they are man-made of gold or wood or whatever material and they cannot speak, see, nor hear? How do you feel about that? I'm just saying that if there is a better way and a better God, then what would that be, that is, whom already exists? I have not seen a better way. And I have yet for anyone to show a better God or better way of salvation. Because the Bible says that we cannot earn our way to Heaven by good works or deeds. That we are saved by grace through faith, which is unearned favor from God.
Ynotisay · M
@LadyGrace OK. Thanks for that. All right. Since you asked here's my opinion. I think religion, all religion, is nonsense. There are no supernatural deities and there is no life after death. I'm an animal. I'm good with that. I have morals, help those in need and have no need for a doctrine on how to live. I think religion is the most detrimental, human-created construct that mankind has ever known. Hundreds of millions have been killed over it and many more have been oppressed because of it.
So, there you go. You do you. I'll do me. But don't think that just because you believe something that I have to respect it or agree with it. Because I don't. Have a good one.
@Ynotisay Well there you are. 😊 That wasn't hard. Thank you for that. No. I never said that you had to agree with me. Jesus was against religion, too. Because religion has nothing whatsoever to do with salvation. Anybody can claim they have religion, but that doesn't mean they have made a commitment to him and accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior. Even the devil believes, but he's not saved.
CountScrofula · 41-45, M
No, but I have some room for nuance here.
