Well, I would rather believe in God now and then find out after I die that he doesn't exist
rather than not believe in Him now and find out after I die that He does exist. LOL

Seriously though, I do believe in God and in Jesus Christ and the power of prayer.
@IM5688 You just can't go wrong by loving and trusting God in all things.

@IM5688 Assuming your talking about the Christian god but wouldn't he prefer a non-believer who lived a good, honest and just life and helped others over a believer who lived with hate, anger and hurt people?

What if you believe in the wrong or false god, thereby really annoying the true one?

@Lynda70 Sadly, that would not end well. This is the reason Jesus came to Earth so that we could know and not have to guess.

I am sure God would, but that's not the point. The issue at hand is not about who's good or who is bad. We do not get to heaven by good performance. That is crystal clear in the Word of God. It is important not to miss what the Lord said is his standard for salvation. People do not miss Heaven because they have been good or bad. They miss it because we were all born with a sinful nature which keeps us separated from God until our sins are forgiven, and we cannot bring that sinful nature with us to heaven as it is a pure and holy place. Therefore, Jesus said if we ask him to forgive us of our sins, he will blot them out and remember them no more and we will be in right standing to enter the kingdom of heaven when we die.

That's just your opinion. There's no real evidence the biblical Jesus even existed, never mind being some form of god. You're just trying to turn people away from Odin. That's cruel but it's the type of evil action I've come to expect from christians. :(
