I asked a guy whether he cooks or whether he expects women to do all the work?

Is it a rude question? Because he once told me that working women manage household activities as well. It's taken as a given. So my impression of him is that he expects women to do all the work.
Taylor Swift has got 100 songs about breaking up with men..
Zero songs about sammich making..

Just sayin

@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout you would think her Swifties would figure out that she was the common denominator in all of those relationships…and get fed up with her whining about the men.
AlchemyFox · 36-40, F
Not rude. Nobody wants a dead ass partner that can't do for themselves.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@AlchemyFox I don’t mind cooking and doing dishes as long as I have the energy to do it. But when a woman gets incapacitated for some health reason and can’t do it the partner needs to step up to the plate. That’s why it is very important for men to learn to do basic cooking and household chores and laundry. There are some that are too worthless to even attempt to help out with household chores or cooking. I knew an older woman who got breast cancer, lived on a farm and her husband expected her to do everything as usual plus drive herself to Tulsa for medical treatments. Her adult daughters cared for her and then she went to live with one who was going to the university here. She’d go back home about once a month to visit and eventually divorced her husband. They’d been married about 40 years. She went to live with her daughter on the east coast.

Sounds like a mummy's boy tbh... Just keep on walking lol

I love cooking personality. Most guys do i feel.
Yes he does.. you guessed it right
InHeaven · F
sounds like he does. I would not date a guy like that. Women are human not robots to manage everything everything everything. I guess there is reason women are termed a weaker sex
solitaire · 41-45, F
@InHeaven DEFINITELY not dating material. He is an acquaintance. But since he did not reply to my message I deleted his number

I began cooking about twenty years back when my wife said that she was sick of cooking and we started eating out of supermarket freezers. I now cook for myself and friends.
justanothername · 51-55, M
It’s not a rude question. It’s a relevant one alright some guys who have an on school or traditional mind set may have a view on what they think is a woman’s job around the house.
Bleak · 36-40, F
I cannot tolerate anyone interfering in my household chores.
My house, my rules. I don’t need help.
My husband often offers me help but I am like,
No thankyou…

You should always say you dont know how to cook and his reaction will show you if he’s the one
solitaire · 41-45, F
@G0ddess He's an acquaintance. When I asked him this question he did not reply to me.

@G0ddess Haha. I deleted his number. He's not a romantic partner. A mere acquaintance
novaguy2u · 70-79, M
It's not a rude question. In today's world, where both partners work to contribute to the family home, it is only fair that both share the housework.

Not rude. If he thinks it’s rude than he’s a knucklehead.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Sounded more like he was hinting the duties would be shared.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
Don’t forget laundry too 😉

Since i retired and my wife still works, i make the beds, vaccumn, do the dishes, mop the floors, sweep, yard work. She likes to shop so i dont do that
Oster1 · M
It's a damn shame, for ANYONE, not to be able to cook. Cooking is the ultimate love, for others! It's actually pathetic.
MrBiginNebraska · 18-21, M
It sounds as though youve jumped to that conclusion based off of something that may not really say what you think it does.
Ask me the same question.
@solitaire Take everything with a grain of salt on here, at least until you really get to know someone
solitaire · 41-45, F
@Ghostinthemachine I knew the person for a few years. Anyway it's not someone from this site
@solitaire perhaps it’s easier online, but it happens in real life too.
smiler2012 · 56-60
@solitaire he has rather a male chauvenist attitude in this day and age with his idea of womans role this day and age
Steve42 · 56-60, M
Obviously he is not the one for you if you have different expectations.
it's not rude.
I do a lot of the cooking in the house and I'm proud of it
Really · 80-89, M
whether he cooks or whether he expects women to do all the work?
Are those really the only two alternatives you can imagine ?
riffraffrebel · 26-30, M
i think girls should do it all
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
It's a fair question.
Fertilization · 36-40, F
A chauvinist behaviour.
pdockal · 56-60, M
I enjoy cooking
assemblingaknob · 26-30, F
Red flag dude.
Not rude at all.
DDonde · 31-35, M
I don't think it's a rude question.
I don’t think it’s rude.
basilfawlty89 · 31-35, M
Not at all.
I'm not saying you need to be the next MasterChef, but cooking is a basic life skill.
Unhinged · 100+
Is he from falakata
solitaire · 41-45, F
@Convivial This guy has a morher and sisters and his wife left him in 1.5 months! I wonder why. He claims he treated her well but I wonder what the real truth is
Convivial · 26-30, F
@solitaire according to his life view maybe he did treat her well...
solitaire · 41-45, F
@Convivial Hmm. It was an arranged marriage. Believe me no Indian woman leaves her husband so soon in an arranged marriage setup especially.
So,,, would YOU be pissed if I ask you to leave the kitchen for me to cook ???
When my late ex fiancee learned I wasn't false bragging about my kitchen skills, I soon became the chief cook, by the last year of her life before she died, it became a demand to the point she'd have screaming tantrums if I was too tired to cook.
