I asked a guy whether he cooks or whether he expects women to do all the work?

Is it a rude question? Because he once told me that working women manage household activities as well. It's taken as a given. So my impression of him is that he expects women to do all the work.

I began cooking about twenty years back when my wife said that she was sick of cooking and we started eating out of supermarket freezers. I now cook for myself and friends.
