I asked a guy whether he cooks or whether he expects women to do all the work?

Is it a rude question? Because he once told me that working women manage household activities as well. It's taken as a given. So my impression of him is that he expects women to do all the work.

Nope. You need to know the answer. It is not rude at all.

As for how he reacts, well then you'd know if it's worth investing more time into seeing where it would go from wherever you two are or not.

Don't invalidate what you need for the sake of sheltering a man's ego. Someone who cares for you and suits you will want to do things that help one another.

But then again, each of us have our different sets of expectations. It is normal to want to find someone who can give you what you need and want.
