What does "a Karen" mean?

It's just a given name.

Some famous people named Karen include Karen Allen, the actress who was in films like Animal House, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Starman and The Sandlot.

Karen Grassle, the actress who had roles in television programs like Little House on the Prairie and Loveboat.

And the singer, Karen Carpenter, who along with her brother and musical partner, Richard Carpenter had hit songs like Looking For Love, (They long to be) Close To You and Rainy Days and Mondays.

Really? Youve never heard that? A "karen" is an obnoxious entitled woman.

The kind of woman screams at you for walking on the wrong side walk.

A woman who doesnt like your dog so pretends to be bitten by it.

Those who protest passionately but dont understand what exactly thier protesting.

Apparently, the male equivalent of a “Karen” is a “Carl”. I know a few Karens and Carls and they don’t appreciate their name being used as a stereotype. I don’t blame them. And I know a Dick who probably isn’t thrilled either lol

Karen’s are usually entitled women and are usually the kind of women who are on the board of some HOA (or think they are), and complain about absurd perceived rule infractions. They’re up in everyone’s business, and have no problem confronting a complete stranger.

Karen wants to speak to the manager.
Karen thinks she’s the queen and should be treated more special than everyone else.

A "Karen" is the AAVE term for a woman who uses her privilege to bully strangers, usually service people, waitstaff, clerks, cashiers, or those whom she sees as "less than".
