No, we've been together for over 40 years. Never had a jealousy issue.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@dragonfly46 wow thats rare🫡
dragonfly46 · F
@Simplyme33 I'm incredibly sensitive to any kind of jealousy in any type of relationship. If I sense it at all, I'm gone. For us, we can't live that way. He's my best friend.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@dragonfly46 Im so happy for u guys 😍 bless u 🙏
Donotfolowme · 51-55, F
I am more of an Envy one. But not in a relationship. I have a very good man for myself. I am not looking.
CallMeWhatever · FNew
Absolutely, well not jealous more insecure
Younameit · F
In my early 20s I used to be jealous asf, mostly insecure. If I were to ever have a relationship again I would just leave them the moment they make me feel insecure or give me a reason to not trust them. I find easier and easier to let go of people as I grow older.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@Younameit yeah I agree. Such experiences cant be had without cost. Which is time...
To a degree, of course. Isn’t everyone, whose normal 💁♂
Sometimes jealousy can come from caring, because you value the relationship and fear of losing it. But jealousy itself isn’t proof of love. Healthy caring looks like trust, respect, honesty, and concern for your partner’s wellbeing.

Simplyme33 · 31-35, F

MrSmartyPants · 46-50, M
That's a reason why relationships aren't the way for me, i'd rather be in Platonic mode with anyone.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@MrSmartyPants yep lol
MrSmartyPants · 46-50, M

did you give yourself the biggest T-bone?.. 🤔
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@TheOneyouwerewarnedabout only if its true
I used to be highly insecure, which fuelled jealousy... however, I've worked on it and I don't think I'm as bad anymore.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@HootyTheNightOwl well done 🙌
exexec · 70-79, C
I was when she was dating others in college, but I stopped when the dating stopped.
wuiop2 · 46-50
Nope. I'm polyamorous and partnered. Each relationship is separate. My partners know about each other and get along well. Ongoing open and honest communication is a requirement.
CrazyMusicLover · 31-35
No idea, I'd need to be in a relationship first. 😆
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F

BrandonWyatt36 · 36-40, M
AGAIN Yes I am VERY Jealous and Possessive in a relationship... And I DO let Women know up front that that's how I am... That way they already know what they are getting into... Soo
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@BrandonWyatt36 haha. I liked that
HikingMan · 56-60, M
I'd label myself as more suspicious than jealous. If I get suspicious I'll ask and the answers need to be clear and understandable without deepening my sense of suspicion. If it doesn't make sense to me I'll press for clarity and if I don't get it, I'd likely walk.
HikingMan · 56-60, M
@Simplyme33 I get the answer all the time when she sends me letters in the mail telling me she was always loyal and true to me.
I have yet to get any explanations that are rational or make sense of those specific situations.
I work on myself and the things I can control.
Everything else I'm learning to just accept it as it stands or presents itself.

Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@HikingMan I underdtand. Its a hard situation. But only u can decide whether to beleive her or not.
HikingMan · 56-60, M
@Simplyme33 I have a hypervigilance disorder of sorts. No psychologist have ever said so or anything like that, but I know that I do.
I can trust easily anything that makes sense, is rational, or that I see with my own eyes.
Everything else I can fixate on for decades.
I've been trying to work on that.
But honestly, there's been too many times where I've told people how a situation will play out exactly and had folks tell me I'm too untrusting or that I'm letting my imagination get away from me, only to watch things go exactly how I predicted.
My daughter hates it.
I guess most people do.
If something doesn't make sense in my head, I will analyze it until it does with the concentration of a heart surgeon.
What I've found over the years is that the most likely thing is almost always the thing.

No. Get your hands off of him. I can't take you anywhere.
LeGrotesque · 46-50, F
Not at all. If it's that easy for someone else to garner your attention, she can have you.
Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@LeGrotesque that is one theory of its own👍
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
I think if your in a relationship you have some sort of mutual understanding of eachother if your deciding to dedicate yourself to a relationship. Therefore both people should know enough to not cause jelousy in the first place.
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@Simplyme33 then they should talk about it. Communication is the key to alot of things.
If one feels jealous and the other doesn't find it valid then it should be easy to talk through as long as there is trust.
If one feel jealous and activly threatened and the other ignores it or blows it off then there is no respect and the relationship will not last. Animosity will build, leading to parnoia or anger.

Simplyme33 · 31-35, F
@GuyWithOpinions yes of course .I was asking abt that moment. When something happens and u feel jealous. Like someone staring too long at ur partner's body or flirting with her. Do u feel jealousy? Or not. That was my point
GuyWithOpinions · 31-35, M
@Simplyme33 i think it would really depend on the circumstances.
Maybe in a more mature type of setting id be proud that im lucky enough to be with someone i can be proud of. I would want people to acknowledge her accomplishments and give her theconfidence to achieve her passions in life.
When a friend has a few drinks and is getting a little too close and you notice intention in his eyes. Id first be offended that someone that i thought i could trust would behave in this way so its a display of his own character to take note of. It would then probably come down to trust in her and how she responds.
If you both love eachother and are in the relationship for the right reasons the issue wouldnt even come up unless there was another problem in the relationship leading to a reason to feel that way.
Things can be misconcieved at times and i understand that. I acount for that. It then comes back to communication.
People are very diverse. No two people are exactly the same. It's always good to leave 10% room for human error.

I hate thinking of myself that way but there is a natural urge deep inside you that cannot be denied whether you like it or not. It's almost in our fabric. Call it jealousy, envy, resentment, covetousness, possessiveness, spite, and other feelings.
