Apparently my niece and nephews all get really scared when I scold people, because it happens so rarely. I yelled once ten years ago, and the 3 kids in the room starting crying, and the adults in the room were laughing.

I look like a bouncer with a shaved head and goatee. I’ve been told I look intimidating until people get to know me. Before I started shaving my head years ago, I never got that kind of feedback regarding my initial impression. I didn’t realize that shaving my scalp would change perceptions as much as it did.

My anger when it does come out which is extremely rare as I've learned to master it. When it does, people I've known haven't forgotten.

I don't think it's the case anymore but at one point it'd be my integrity. They'd feel a heavy pressure to uphold their own standards because of it. I've been told this several times.

When I actually listen & then try to solve their problems/give them ideas, they think I have an ulterior motive (but I like helping & solving problems).

I keep things to myself. I can be distant. Those were typically the "I'm scared to be with you/get close to you" reasons.

I hold things in too long. I sometimes let things reach a boiling point. Then I completely lose my temper. Let it all out. Everything at once. My sisters say it's explosive. Happens so rarely it takes people off guard

A lot of people have told me I look scray or intimidating when they first see me. I don't really know why. They say I just give off that "do not approach" air or something like that.

I’ve taken martial arts for a good while. I just do it because it’s fun. I like contact. The people at work defer to me like I’m a one man Seal Team.

I used to ride a motorcycle year round. I looked kinda like an astronaut in the winter. I came into the house all suited up and my little nephew was visiting. He looked up all wide eyed at me and f some reason I put both arms up and went"Rowrrrr.."!

Poor kid went back on his butt and started crying hysterically. He's like over 40 years old now and a marine veteran, I think he's still scared of me to this day..

I'm larger than the average human, very deep voice. I'm not afraid to stand up for myself when someone tries to take advantage or jerk me around. Can be intimidating to some.

For years I have been polite and nice that people thought I was easy to deal with.

Third, I don't care if i am not liked as long as there's respect

There's nothing scary abt me except how unpredictable I can be sometimes although that's dying down as I grow older
