American here. male or female sex was determined when they were born and i don't confuse that with gender. I'll respect anyones gender identity, it's important to them and it's costs me nothing to be respectful.
They were passing laws to fine and jail people for speaking the “wrong pronoun” so the actual costs of what it was costing people is blatantly obvious.
Can you provide a case? I couldn't find one. A person sent to prison to serve time in jail for uttering an incorrect pronoun.
