Do you ever block people without giving them a chance?

yes, I have over 100 blocked people. I view feed page as if it was my living room. i don't need a reason to not want to see someone in my living room. I could block someone simply because I don't like their username, its my personal freedom to decide who I want to see on my page. I'm under no obligation to give anyone "a chance".

Yes, if they are being rude and/or disrespectful from the get go unsolicited. Or trying to be erotic or co-ercive about sexual fetishes again unsolicited.

Sometimes. A couple common reasons come to mind. It’s usually based on how I saw them treat others here. It’s gross and I don’t want to see it.

Yes, people do it a lot here. Take Cocoon, QueenDragonfly, muddymemories, Umile, 4meAndyou and others all blocked for unknown reasons. One minute we're all talking just fine, then bam. I'm blocked

Many people here let you know exactly who they are by both their posts and their responses.

Before I never did that. Now if someone posts fetish or graphic sexual content that I don't want to see and I click on it, I block them without wondering who they are.

I guess it's because of broken feed. When there was enough of interesting content to see and read, I could just click away, whatever, but now that kind of crap is especially annoying because I know there are other posts made in real time and this is the best the algorithm can do?

If I see a bunch of their posts, all with the same obnoxious theme, I can determine quickly they are of no use to me. Ever.

Usually it’s watch, learn and if necessary mute. A block isn’t necessary too often but I have no problem pulling the trigger.

I used to block pervs like that because I didn't want it in my feed but now I just mute them.

Preventative blocking at times when I see possible conflict

I'm straightforward if someone climbs up in my inbox wanting to 'chat' - "this is what I will and will not chat about" & if that line is crossed after my warning shot, I'm done. I've had to block one person for that and another just for being a basic pig, trolling my posts. Those are the only two I've blocked.

I give them a chance and then block.

I don't like any form of bullying, (harrassement, racism, sexism) or fetish content. 2 or 3 posts doesn't bother me, but after 3 days of seeing the same posts from that person. They gotta go.

No. I always give people a chance. I always ask their intentions or what they meant by saying something (instead of presuming or buying into someone's gossip about someone, like so many people seem to do). If they're needing for me to take on their beliefs (usually religious), and they keep pestering me with it, I'll kindly let them know I'm glad what they believe is working for them, but I'm happy with where I am. I'll let them know that if they keep trying to shove something down my throat, I'll have no choice but to block them. I've never blocked anyone without good reason.

People block me, seemingly out of nowhere

People especially the young are too sensitive these days that they can't stand a pun or joke or tease. Shows how polarised they are that they have to take sides at once. Reflects a lot on their upbringing and life in 2k. Too much exposure at too young a age.
