Let's not label - we all have our brave days and our not so brave ones...
Signs of a Cowardly Behaviour in a man:
Lies, arrogance, violence, addiction to whatever unhealthy thing (the easy exits),
letting his lady take all life's blows without shielding her and / or caring for her her.
Bonus: Avoiding speaking about problems... how else will they be resolved?
Signs of a Brave Behaviour in a man:
Brave men stand out in tough situations:
they don't use mind/power games,
they think before they act/judge (they are not passive - they are rather proactive and with reason) ,
and they don't let their ladies feel alone in the storm
(aka they can be considerate of other's struggles and be there, for their people).
It is the same for women, as well ;) 💗
Edit:* The behavior could be cowardly but if said person learns from their mistakes, they could be tomorrow's heroes
What matters is how you strive to be, every day :)

@Missadventurous Ahm. If someone got you fired, why in the world would you want to see them?

@Missadventurous In that case, do what you have to. Get your own legal representative if you must.

Screams like a girl at spiders
@turnedtostone That's my older brother, he actually makes his own kids, three daughters and a son, kill them.
turnedtostone · 56-60, F
@NativePortlander1970 might sound sexist, but I need a man that will open up jars and kill spiders..
I admit it!! LoL
And yes I know there are women who kill spiders, I just don't happen to be one of them and I can never find the jar opener when I need it .

@turnedtostone I catch and release them.
Isolating their partner from family, friends and a normal life.

@HootyTheNightOwl I'm so sorry you're going through it too. I've always found it strange the way people preach supporting others, but they all silently back away when their feet need to get moving. At least there's a place like this for people to connect ❤️ I know it's not easy but chat anytime.
@S33K3R People say "Get out" - like it's that easy. The choice the police gave me was to go to my sister's and get sent back or to go to a refuge in the town where he spent the first 18 years of his life... and where both he and I are well enough known that I don't feel safe with being there.
S33K3R · 36-40, F
@HootyTheNightOwl you're very right. Especially if you have kids. I stayed in this relationship past it's expiration for at least 3 years to save up to move on. Some people don't have the extra income or the time to do that.

@Missadventurous my ex did that. It was shocking how he'd just turn into a tantrum throwing child when mildly frustrated.

anytime you let your fear control your actions. Being afraid isn't cowardly. Not acting because of it, is.

@Cowboybob Fear is the mind-killer.

I'm on probation on here because I called some people out - people who were actually rude, mean, dismissive. and when I spoke up, I got called a coward. typically I'm passive aggressive, sad trait and habit of being an introvert. the one day I speak up and speak out, because I didn't do it calmly and/or politely - every good deed I tried to do to help them, gone. not a victim. it was just sad.

I've always felt that not stepping in when people are in need is a cowardly act. As is living in fear which represents itself through hating and oppressing those not like themselves and needing guns to feel powerful and 'safe.'

@DearAmbellina2113 I'm really sorry you went through that too... That's what me and my ex broke up over.
Our friends got in the middle of our relationship tried to end our relationship and then cut me out of their lives.... Him? crickets.... It's been almost a year, I'm moving out soon. It's been rough.
I hope your situation isn't as bad, but you may want to watch a video I wish I had seen years ago.

My ex actually would lose it and hit himself and break things. Always triggered by me trying to communicate with him. He's never been good for me. Violence triggers anxiety in me like mad, even if it's just that.

Trying too hard to prove his point and when he fails, he resorts to violence. He thinks violence is a better answer than a cringing defeat. Men like Tate play that attitude very well.

I hesitate to use the term "cowardly" but 2 things come to mind: 1) physical abuse of women or children, and 2) failure to stand by a partner in time of need.
SnailTeeth · 36-40
In short, avoidance.
Though it's important to pick one's battles.
Treachery is another one.
Essentially the same things that would make a woman seem cowardly.
