I think the illegal strikes that he ordered on boats in the Caribbean ought to rule him out of the Nobel Peace prize for good.
@SunshineGirl Probably many more. Trump has not provided any evidence as to who the victims were.
JanaF47 · 46-50, F
@SunshineGirl I must say I really wonder if he is gonna to order his ships and troops to attact Venezuela coast and inland.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@PatKirby You genuinely believe there is a moral equivalence between nineteenth century laws that treat some people as chattels, and twenty-first century laws that protect all people from indiscriminate murder?
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
It is indeed my fervent wish and hope that donald trump will get everything he deserves
newjaninev2 · 56-60, F
@yestestvennaya Yes, I dismiss him from any position of significance in my life. He's a nobody... a global joke and he does not merit the attention he craves and demands.

He is illiterate, innumerate, uneducated, and this leads to lie after lie, self-aggrandising falsehoods, and a need to avoid details at all costs. Never any details... never.

It is quite pitiful (and amusing) to watch... as I said, just a sad old man.

Capitals are used on proper nouns, and the main criterion for a proper noun is that it refers to something specific and unique, but donald trump is not unique... members of his ilk are a dime a dozen.

You seem to ascribe an incredible amount of hate to me regarding putin and russia, but unfortunately you completely miss the actual feeling and the focus of that feeling.

It's contempt.

It's contempt for a murderous autocrat who has destroyed his country in the same way that so many parasites destroy their host.

It's contempt for those who support him, find excuses for him, propagate his lies, and sit in craven silence rather than demonstrate courage and integrity.

But the consequences of his hate-filled war against the sovereign democracy of Ukraine and his ongoing murder of that country's men, women, children, and babies will find him.

@sunsporter1649 As I said: just a sad old man... a global joke.

Nobody cares what he says about anything

Your cartoon seems to reference a different comment in a different thread... perhaps you should check
No I don't, besides, they are only efforts (however commendable) , no peace has materialized from his efforts
Charity · 61-69
Simple answer No.

Nobel Peace Prize keyword PEACE - there hasn't been peace in this country since he took office, either term. And he's definitely not trying to make peace in a lot of other countries unless it benefits him.
Nevertooold · 56-60, M
@Charity He's never done anything for anyone unless he was getting something out of the deal for himself...and he cheats at golf which says a lot about the person....
AbbeyRhode · F
On the one hand, he absolutely does, but on the other hand, the award has become a bit of a joke since they gave one to the traitor Obama.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@yestestvennayaseems like it’s more about the personal politics of the individuals if it fits the group’s agenda.
yestestvennaya · 22-25, F
PatKirby · M
@AbbeyRhode

How dare you! That's an insult to the dirt bag! 😂
Paimon · 31-35, M
What peace??

The world is in a worse state now than before he took office.
Paimon · 31-35, M
@MartinII
Middle East? Worse.
Eastern Europe? Worse.
Relations with China? Worse.
Relations with allies? Worse.
American prosperity? Worse.

Wealth of the elite? Much much better!
MartinII · 70-79, M
@Paimon Better, though perhaps not permanently, in the Middle East. No change in Eastern Europe. Probably better relations with China, though that isn't necessarily a good thing. Relations with most allies better, because more realistic. American prosperity irrelevant.
Paimon · 31-35, M
@MartinII Sorry, you must be pulling my leg.

The Middle East is undeniably worse. You have Russia building nuclear plants in Iran with no oversight. And there has never been more hostilities between countries than there is now. Heck, look at the number of civilians killed by Trump strikes in Yemen. “Better”??

No change in Eastern Europe
In Trump’s own words, the Russians would accept peace within 24 hours of Trump being elected. Um…

Instead, we now have Russia using North Korean troops to storm Europe. “No change” lol you are unserious.

Better relations with China
Yes, that’s why they’re purchasing zero soybeans from American farmers, and instead buying it all from Argentina. And buying more of their oil from Canada. All whilst squeezing Trump on tech. That’s great!

American prosperity irrelevant
He was literally elected because everything cost too much. Groceries. Fuel. Health insurance. That’s all got worse. Irrelevant how??

As for allies. Well, they openly laugh at him. That’s realistic for you.
ididntknow · 56-60, M
No, I’m very disappointed with Trump, he’s turned out to be just like the others
sunsporter1649 · 70-79, M
Even if the peace plan in Gaza holds until next year, normally the prize goes to the people who signed it, not the people who arranged it. The 1994 peace prize went to Yasser Arafat, Yitzhak Rabin, and Shimon Peres, not Bill Clinton. So the prize next year would go to Netanyahu and whoever his counterpart is in Hamas.
swirlie · 31-35
@LeopoldBloom

Your'e making this krap up as you go along again, Leo. Stick with what I said which was in response to what you had ORIGINALLY stated and not what you made up after the fact ..and then go from there. It's really quite simple if you'll only stick with the facts.
@swirlie Please read the text of the Peace Plan I posted and respond to that instead of to something you picked up elsewhere.

Can you provide a citation for your claim that nothing was agreed to other than a 48 hour ceasefire? If that's the case, why did Hamas release the hostages? What happened, someone forgot to lock the door and the hostages just happened to escape right after the ceasefire?
swirlie · 31-35
@LeopoldBloom
Please stick with what was originally written, Leo. This isn't rocket science, okay?

@SunshineGirl LOL... the nobel prize is irrelevant
kodiac · 22-25, M
@SunshineGirl Tell that to the families of the hostages in gaza.when has hamas left any hostages alive let alone free them?
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@carpediem Trump doesn't think so. He's already secured his nomination for next year.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
He deserves a Nobel prize like Mussolini did.
Absolutely not.
Northwest · M
What for? His family's "potential" Gaza condos? Or ending the war between Ukraine and Russia, within 24 hours of him taking office?
4meAndyou · F
Did you mean to say PRESIDENT Trump?
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
Restarting a nuclear test program doesn't seem to suggest he's very serious. After renaming his Defence Department the Department for War, it will be obvious to anyone where his real heart is when it comes to peace.
swirlie · 31-35
@FreddieUK
Yes, I know you're British and I know you probably had tea with the Queen at least once, but what I said just HAD to be stated for the whole world to see.
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@swirlie For the record, I have never met anyone from the Royal Family and have avoided all opportunities to do so.
swirlie · 31-35
@FreddieUK
..but did you ever sneak out to play a few games of poker with Charlie in some dimly-lit, smokey dank corner of a flooded dungeon within Buckingham Palace?
WasEP · 51-55, M
At least considered for it and then the most deserving gets it.
Donna15 · 41-45, F
Not hardly!
Nevertooold · 56-60, M
LOL...about as much as we should celebrate John Wayne Gacy Day....He causes more problems than he solves and he is going to piss the entire world off against Americans....It's a very scary situation!!!
BohoBabe · M
@swirlie Now when WWE does shows in other countries, the audience boos America's national anthem. Which I don't like, but I really can't get mad about. Americans should have known that allowing Fascism was going to turn the world against them.
swirlie · 31-35
@BohoBabe
What you say is absolutely correct. Fascism didn't just 'happen' to America as a stroke of bad luck, Fascism was never challenged by Americans when they had Fascism put in their face, yet chose to do absolutely NOTHING about it.

Americans got what they voted for and Trump delivered on his promise.

I don't think those so called peace prize are worth it. Nothing is worth these days.

I don't think Trump even cares for those.
Allelse · 36-40, M
What peace efforts?
exexec · 70-79, C
No, because so many of his other actions are the opposite of peace-making.
JanaF47 · 46-50, F
@exexec You might be right but I would say he tries hard to negotiate peace in Ukraine and Izrael.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@JanaF47 Also between Thailand and Cambodia…China was behind that conflict trying to get fishing territory and get them fighting so they could move in and take over.
Are you kidding us?
JanaF47 · 46-50, F
@VeronicaJane No, just asking a question.
@JanaF47 Ok, short answer - definitely not.
ididntknow · 56-60, M
Venezuela isn’t about the drugs, f that’s just a narrative, they always need a narrative, it’s all about stealing the oil, oil = wealth, American debt = $34 Trillion, America needs that oil
swirlie · 31-35
@Khenpal1
Venezuela is a failed state , the type of oil they have cant be refined by USA.

This statement of your's is categorically false. All American refineries from the Canadian border to Louisiana have been modified to accept heavy Canadian crude from the Alberta Tar Sands project in the Canadian mid-west. As such, American refineries can now refine heavy crude oil which is full of Bitumen, which is what is used as road tar.

Any heavy crude coming from Venezuela to the USA is now able to be refined in American refineries which are among the oldest oil refineries in existent on the planet, though now compliant to accept heavy crude.
Khenpal1 · M
@swirlie not exacly , they are already running at top capacity , so no .
swirlie · 31-35
@Khenpal1
Yes, the American refineries are running at peak capacity as they always have been, but they were not always able to refine heavy crude like they can do now. The only crude that American refineries could use was 'sweet crude' which comes from Argentina and Iraq and most oil wells found in Canada.

That is precisely why the Keystone Pipeline from Canada to the USA was cancelled and restarted several times because American refineries were NOT able to refine heavy Canadian crude which contains large amounts of sulphur and Bitumen, depending on the Canadian oil wells they were using.

Those American refineries are now upgraded to handle heavy crude.
Khenpal1 · M
They acept nomnation latest January 15th , Donald Trump began his second presidency on January 20, 2025, so 5 days to nomination. 😂
Pfuzylogic · M
When pigs fly.
Strictmichael75 · 61-69, M
He certainly doesn’t !
Subsumedpat · 36-40, M
Lets wait and see how all that turns out
🤣 No. Quite apart from the fact that the so-called "ceasefire" in Gaza is over before it truly began.
If you understand how we got to Ukraine and Gaza, and nuclear proliferation in Iran, NK unchecked...nope
Let’s see how the rest of his term works out.
gregloa · 61-69, M
About a thousand percent more than Obama did.
@gregloa Too bad. Obama was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. Trump wasn't, and never will be :) He will have to live with a Black president being forever more respected than him :)
gregloa · 61-69, M
@wildland
Obama was awarded it because he was black. What an accomplishment. 🤣😂🤣😂
JanaF47 · 46-50, F
@wildland Alright, but what for did Obama receive this prize?
swirlie · 31-35
Talking in a room about ending a war does not actually constitute "peace efforts", though well intentioned I'm sure.
BohoBabe · M
The Nobel prize means nothing. So sure, why not?
Diotrephes · 70-79, M
@JanaF47 = What the orange traitor deserves more than anything else is at least 30 years in solitary confinement in a maximum security prison.
yestestvennaya · 22-25, F
Deserves? The ship has left the port. They delivered their goods to a woman-nobody from Venezuela. She won the prize for talking, not doing. We will see what the coming year brings. Hint: they like ethnics, liberals, and woman-nobodies.
SunshineGirl · 36-40, F
@yestestvennaya Hint: "ethnics", liberals and women tend to be rather good at peacemaking.

MartinII · 70-79, M
Not yet. It depends whether his efforts achieve lasting success. Mr Obama, of course, got one merely for opening his mouth.
@MartinII Yup, he opened his mouth and used it in his "extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples".

Nobel Commission 2009.

And that is the only reason Trump wants a prize. He cannot stand that Obama won one.

And sadly for you, he's not getting one next year either. The ceasefire is over, and he has turned against his own people. He's no better than Maduro, now.
MartinII · 70-79, M
@wildland No it isn't, though whether the second stage of the peace plan happens is doubtful. Obama had not made extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples when he was awarded the prize, he had merely said what a good thing it would be. And that's not the same thing as peace. Sometimes Peace is achieved by winning wars.
@MartinII
Obama had not made extraordinary efforts to strengthen international diplomacy and cooperation between peoples when he was awarded the prize, he had merely said what a good thing it would be

Sadly for you, the Nobel Commission disagreed with you.

Sometimes Peace is achieved by winning wars.

But it doesn't win you a Nobel Peace Prize. Look them up: none of the recipients won it by "winning wars".
yestestvennaya · 22-25, F

but hes showing the world what a virtue signaling circle jerk award for globalist that it really is..

@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays 12 and I ended the nuclear threat from North Korea. I also invented the words...

1. Groceries
2. Fake news
3. Dementia (an old-fashioned word)

I also am responsible for ending Daylight Savings Time again this year after standard time was declared terminated. Finally, I contributed to the restoration of the East Wing of the White House.
@MarkPaul You're definitely Nobel Prize material. Good luck.
