Recomend a movie.

Please do.
It’s a UNIVERSAL movie, I Believe done in 1931, “The Black Cat” with Lugosi and Karloff, a B& W, but that definitely added to the movie.

Paths of Glory starring Kirk Douglas.
@JSul3 Great movie! Being done in B & W made it even better, a great anti war movie. I heard it was banned in France. True or not, I can’t say. But it did not reflect favorably on the French military.
Jayciedubb · 56-60, M
@JSul3 was that the one about WWI where a few soldiers were tried for cowardice. One guy was crying to a bug saying the bug will be alive tomorrow but the guy wont. Then one of the other condemned (maybe the dude from Stalag 17) soldiers squashes the bug and tells the other guy, "there, now you got the edge on him." 😁😄😆 that's the same movie, that's a great movie. I just thought about a movie I want to add to my list now, the man who would be king. That was a good one too
JSul3 · 70-79
@soar2newhighs It was banned in France until 1975.

Gojira, 1954.
MoonaNorth86 · 36-40, F
@JSul3 is that a Japanese or Korean movie? 😝
JSul3 · 70-79
@MoonaNorth86 It is the original Japanese film that we in America came to know as Godzilla, when it was brought to the US, and heavily edited, adding actor Raymond Burr segments. It was released as Godzilla, King of the Monsters, in 1956.

Gojira, made just 9 years after the bombings of Hiroshima, and Nagasaki, is a dark and foreboding film, warning against further nuclear testing. It has English subtitles. Read the background on the film It is very informative, coming from the perspective of the Japanese film makers, who lived during WW2 and the bombings.
