Tricolor salad (here made with avocado; sometimes with green salad) is quick as it only has three ingredients plus dressing. Have some bread with it and you've got a quick meal. Had some today! 🙂

Soups. I usually make a large pot of soup when I make it. Had Italian lentil soup with hot Italian sausage for lunch today. I also made a crockpot of pinto beans last week, with Splenda instead of brown sugar, and added quite a few large chunks of ham. That's a meal in itself.

Fry a steak in a pan with butter. Remove steak when ready. While it rests, fry an egg or two in the juices left in the pan. Finally, toss in a handful of green beans into the same pan after the eggs are done.

If you need carbs, "bake" a small to medium potatoe in the microwave. Wash, rub with olive oil and then salt it. Stab the hell out of it with a fork, then wrap in a wet paper towel and pop it in the microwave. It can microwave while you cook in the pan.

At the end of it all, you've got 3 or 4 courses. You've dirtied one pan, a fork, a spatula, and a plate. Maybe a knife if you want to use one with the steak. Minimal processing of food.
