1. Presidents don't rule. At least they're not supposed to, that's why there's a constitution in place to prevent that. Kings and dictators rule.
2.Black women can do anything anyone else can. Why couldn't they?

@Gibbon

This has nothing to do with the post
Let's heal instead of continued disparaging
The election is over
You mean “ a woman of color”? I would love to see Tulsi Gabbard as president.

But if the woman is qualified is the issue, not her color.

She’ll make a good president, but presidents don’t rule the country, no matter how much some want to.
@Prison1203 You can lie to yourself if you want, but the data shows the opposite. The billionaire-class sided with Trump. Most of his donation money came from billionaires, while most of the money Harris got was from the working-class.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@BohemianBabe so yuh def think the guy that sent her 51 million dollars isn’t a billionaire? Or how about bill gates wife?
@Prison1203 Once again, MOST of the money Harris got was from workers, while MOST of the money Trump got was from billionaires.
Ontheroad · M
If elected, yes a woman of any color can run the country every bit as well (if not better) as men have.
AbbySvenz · F
Certainly better than an orange man
Thrust · 56-60, M
@AbbySvenz Awwwwww you want to be ruled like a serf. Good little serf *patting head*

You cant turn a ho into a president periodt.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
No president is a dictator (despite what Trump thinks.) We have a system of checks and balances, with 3 seperate, co-equal branches of government, executive, legislative and judical, each acting as a check on the others.

The president takes an oath to protect and defend the constitution. The president is required to follow the limits set by the constitution.
@badminton
The president is required to follow the limits set by the constitution.

Sure, but that only matters if the people in charge care about the Constitution. Trump has already said the Constitution can be ignored, so that's what the Republicans are going to do.
badminton · 61-69, MVIP
@BohemianBabe Then they are not legitimate representees of the U.S. government.
@badminton Depends what you mean by "legitimate." When Trump and Vance are sworn in, they will legitimately be president and veep. But if Republicans control all three government branches, there's no way to force them to follow the Constitution.
Thrust · 56-60, M
Nobody will ever RULE America. That's why we have the 2nd amendment
4meAndyou · F
Of course. But I think she should have a degree of gravitas, elegance, and massive intelligence. I can definitely see Condoleezza Rice in this role. Harris Faulkner has "the look" and the elegance, but not the experience.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou I would say that Harris knows more about how politics work than kumguzzla does, all she did was vote against the Republican sponsored bills and supported the radical leftist bills and even went further left than all of them combined, all she ever did was vote left and sponsored a bill that went nowhere
4meAndyou · F
@Prison1203 Yes...there's that. But Harris Faulkner has zero experience in running a corporation, or a country.
pdockal · 56-60, M
Anybody can govern ... but they have to be the right choice for we the people

good luck with her !!!!!
nedkelly · 61-69, M
Why mention colour, as it has nothing to do with it. Yes, a female will one day be president who represents the average person not the elites from the looney left. Kamala lost as she believed the celebrities would help win the office, please explain how Beyonce, Cardi B, Oprah, Springsteen, Hanks, Cher and the rest know what it is like for average every day Americans.

The Democrats need to get rid of people like Sanders, Drunk Pelosi and Mad Maxine Waters these are out of touch
4meAndyou · F
@nedkelly Don't forget Adam Schitt. 😊
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
Sure, I’d vote for Harris Faulkner if she ran or Candace Owens and a few others those are the top two that came to mind
fanuc2013 · 51-55, F
Of course! But it has to be the right person!
@fanuc2013 Exactly, they have to put America first.
MasterLee · 56-60, M
sure, maybe Candace Owens
RedBaron · M
Nobody rules here. This isn’t Brazil.
SUPERVlXEN · F
What does color or gender have to do with qualifications? And what is the ruling all about, USA isn’t a monarchy or dictatorship. Yet at least. If you ask if Kamala Harris can be president of the US, sure she can.
Jacko1971 · 51-55, M
It's a democracy so they won't be able to rule. They will be able to preside over a democratically elected government.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@Jacko1971 not a democracy, try a constitutional republic

If she is intelligent and qualified
Blessica · 22-25, F
@Patriot96 Like a Fox
What kind of question is this? 💀
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
She'd have to be intelligent and have a certain type of personality. She'd have to be like a man to be an effective leader. A woman fit to be president is very rare. The types of women dems want to push to be president are the opposite of these things.
She could certainly lead the United States as well as anyone. "Ruling" sounds likes a monarchy or dictatorship—supposedly that’s not what we’re about.

Now whether Americans can let go of the endemic racism and sexism that has been a big part of what this country’s about…that’s a different question. According to this last election, no, not yet. 😞

@SubstantialKick Yes. It’s really sad. At least it was a small percentage compared to other groups.
@SW-User Trust me, I’m not underestimating any of it. But if you know our history, you know this is not new for us. The eugenics movement began here. And there were plenty of American Nazis before, during and after WWII.
ABCDEF7 · M
Is it about the color, or gender, or something else?

Who is that black woman??
pdockal · 56-60, M
The person who we the people chose is all it takes to be elected ... doesn't mean they will do a good job ... it should NEVER be about sex or heritage but unfortunately it is
Pretzel · 61-69, M
I'd say absolutely NOT!
American's aren't ruled, we are governed (supposedly).

Can she be prez?

Don't see why she can't do as badly as a man has for the last 50 years.

If the first thing you think about is skin colour then you may be missing the point.

By the way the President doesn’t rule America, the position is neither dictatorial nor absolute monarch.
Justmeraeagain · 56-60, F
I don't see why not? nobody should be elected because of color, but niether should they be excluded .
GerOttman · 61-69, M
No, the only rulers we have in this country are used to measure short distances.
Selah ·
I cant speak for all black women but I can.
Why not? Ruling class people come in all colors! Americans don't govern themselves, so somebody has to.
@MaryDreamilton sorry, I was definitely tricked by your word "black" there in the question, and of course I'm wrong again. This is only gender - so, of course the ruling class doesn't actually include women. But a black chic can play one on TV.
MaryDreamilton · 46-50, F
@Roundandroundwego This isn't my question, so it wasn't my word. I still think the emphasis was meant to be on the word "woman" rather than "black".

Prior to Obama being elected, the common narrative was America would never elect a black man. They did twice. How many other western nations have done so?
Steve42 · 56-60, M
If she got elected. Of course there would be a percentage that would be unhappy, but there is always a percentage that are unhappy.
Of course. Why not. Obama was president.
@Thrust There was more white people in the country. There still is.
