"Woke" is a term appropriated by the right wing to denigrate and ridicule anyone with a conscience who cares about minorities or the vulnerable in society. Jesus would be the number one woke person if he existed today. It's a term employed to manipulate weak-minded individuals to act against their own interests, which many of them do because those right wing dog whistle terms appeal to their inherent hatred, evident insecurity and rancid bigotry. That more or less sums it up.

Much as you might wish that 'woke' would only be used in its original meaning, it is precisely D.A.s and other officials that selectively enforce laws based on a ridiculously exaggerated sense of wokeism that have brought the pejorative definition on themselves, and for good reason. It is not a 'meaningless insult' at all; it's a correct description of their mindset and resulting behavior.
And I know of no one, Republican or Democrat, who claims there is no socilal injustice whatsoever. The disagreement is over its extent. Nor do I know anyone who won't define what they mean by 'woke.'

Not fond of it. I’m all for human rights and equality ( big on that) . But I’m against this cancelation culture, that is quick to judge and throw rocks if someone says something “ inappropriate “ , sometimes caused by ignorance or just different cultural backgrounds.
