"Woke" is a term appropriated by the right wing to denigrate and ridicule anyone with a conscience who cares about minorities or the vulnerable in society. Jesus would be the number one woke person if he existed today. It's a term employed to manipulate weak-minded individuals to act against their own interests, which many of them do because those right wing dog whistle terms appeal to their inherent hatred, evident insecurity and rancid bigotry.

@spjennifer Plus, the Cat in the Hat was never "cancelled." Nor were the Potato Heads! Hasbro dropped "Mr" from the labeling, and that caused conservatives to go apeshit - as if plastic parts on a tuber had implicit gender, LOL!!!

Some company executives found a clever way to get tens of millions of dollars worth of free publicity for their syrup product. Nobody pressured them, nobody forced them; they played the publicity game and won; simple as that.
