I really miss EP

I miss being able to go to someones profile, seeing what we may have in common. Before even messaging the person. I miss how some of the groups felt more like support groups. People were a lot more open on there. Felt a lot more like a community. It feels weird here. I know we can be "anonymous" here. Crazy, how on EP I had more anonymity. Yet felt more like myself. The community really seemed to accept me. Even when most didn't know my name. I was able to share real experiences. I was able to relate to so many people. Here, things feel a lot more superficial. I am having trouble explaining it, but they just do....

SW, like life itself, is what you make of it.

I agree completely.
I think the EP format led more easily to finding people with similar interests, goals and things they were interested in talking about.
And in turn, that led to better conversations and feelings of community.

@t3kkno Exactly! You said it so much better than I did. What you just said, was pretty much what I was trying to say.🤣

I agree it was definitely better. However this is the only place I was able to find after it closed. Hopefully you will find your stride here.

@HelloItsMeAgain don’t block all of us! This one is too, however just like anywhere I think people make profiles with adult ages when they are not.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@DViper97 Lol! I won't. You seem too chill to block. I was thinking, the same. I was too afraid of my parents to go around lying about my age. Any time I would try to be an ounce of sneaky. They would always catch me.🤣🤣

The profile stuff can still be done, it is just on us to do so. EP was larger and had a more active base though. So there were more to discover. More people to disappear within. Here you end up running into the same folks over and over and that is probably the difference in anonymity you feel.

I totally understand. Sadly ep introduced me into the dark side of things at like 13 -15 years of age. Still tho i feel like experience project was better
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@MysteryGirl Oh shoot, I didn't start using it until I was like 19! I can't imagine what is was like from an early teens prespective. That had to have been scary at times. The content and users could be something else. As much as I loved EP. I can't imagine being on there as a 13 year old. I would be scarred for life....

My sentiment in one word: exactly

@Nimbus Ugh, you deserve it. Reminds me of something, I should be swearing by in my everyday life. Such a simple phrase. Yet, so much wisdom. Thank you for interacting with my post.

This site is a direct clone.

It’s the users that have changed.

@NerdyPotato Internet users yes. People who don’t rely on social media are just as enriching as always.
HelloItsMeAgain · 26-30, FNew
@NerdyPotato 100%! It is wild!

@AdmiralPrune Haha fair! *Me shamelessly scrolling through Reddit*
