I could be off mark, but I feel on EP people talked about their experiences and their interests, whereas on SW people talk about their politics and PINNED…their world view or attitudes. I guess it’s indicative of a the change in society. Which is a pity because I prefer the EP posts. Nowadays is the problem with having an open mind is there’s no shortage people trying to fill it their crap.
One of my greatest fears is outliving my wife. I think this comes from the first 2mins of the film Up. PINNED Society and public services aren’t kind to lonely old men. And by then my daughters will be busy having adventures of their own.
Took my kids to the families open day at RAF Coningsby today to show them where I used to work and watch the flying. PINNED The weather was overcast but dry and warm. The girls enjoyed watching the flying, charity stalls and fairground and I enjoyed the currywurst. Pity there was no beer tent. Apologies for the quality of the photos. My kids got in the better ones which...See More »

WWW3 won’t start with Russia, Isreal, or Iran. It’ll start when a Just Stop Oil protest group holds up a coach load of footy fans.
My wife: Im fairly certain you’re not supposed to leave work with those. Me: Nobody is going to notice. Also me:
Im rewatching Chernobyl, which was one of best shows I binged on during the pandemic. It was gritty, well acted and compelling. It also unintentionally mimicked how people world reacted to the pandemic, in the same way the Soviet Union reacted to the disaster. The closing monologue is apt indeed:
I’d never encountered MSN news before as I’ve never had a need for it, but I understand peoples problems with it.You might have heard that from someone who is a conservative, I’ve seen it before here. By US standards I’m a centrist or moderate, and since the pandemic I’m very choosy about where I get my news from and like to corroborate it with sources that...See More »

The only advice I'll ever give to young lads is to learn to dance. You can have a face like a welder's bench but if you can dance well, 90% of the women on or around that dance floor are going to want to shag you.
Have you ever rediscovered a forgotten song you used to be crazy about? It’s like being teleported back in time. A happy ghost.
Ferrari are continually making life hard for themselves. Not only did they back the wrong horse and not extend Sainz’s contract - the only guy to win for them last season. But my wife has said I need to relax and she might come with the kids to watch or...See More »
