Sadly….no….for some wounds, time simply dulls the pain….enough so that you can carry on.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@blackarcher256 I so agree.

Adogslife · 61-69, M Best Comment
Scars are the remnants of healed wounds. They don’t go away, neither do their lessons.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Adogslife Very much agree.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
@LadyBronte Thank you 😊

True friends don’t go away either. 😉
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Adogslife You're welcome. That comment was spot on.

You are correct again. Thanks for that.
Cassieeeee · 31-35, F
Not always, you just think less about it as time goes on..

nedkelly · 61-69, M
No, the pain is not as bad

21 years since our oldest went to heaven, our hearts are broken, Mrs Kelly has gone down hill since but we will never forget him and now we have grandchildren it eases the pain
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@nedkelly I am so, so sorry, Ned.
Coldplay · 61-69, M
@nedkelly our memories are a gift from God. I believe that. They live in our hearts. That is where I have my father. I am so sorry for your loss. As a parent I cannot imagine.
akindheart · 61-69, F
nope. not really. the pain lessens but the memories stay.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@akindheart Yes...
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
@akindheart Absolutely!
That has a lot to do with the person I think. How much we allow things to bother us or use our mind, but I would have to say that I don't think that time does actually heal all wounds. I think it makes things more tolerable, but we also have to work on ourselves and try not to let yesterday steal joy from today. We're not going that way. Hopefully, we are moving forward.
SW-User
No, and actually if you don’t do anything about the wound time can make it get worse.
SW-User
@SomeMichGuy I was talking about emotional wounds but sure it works for that too
@SW-User Ah...yes. Thanks for the clarification.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SW-User Yes.
Ontheroad · M
In my experience it does, but it leaves scars to ocassionaly remind us of the pain and agony.
SubstantialKick · 36-40, M
Nope. I went through some abuse in my household as a kid that still hasn't really healed.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
I'd like to say that it does, but I know better.
The realization that you are now different changes the perception of the healing and the wound...time doesn't fix that. You just learn to live in and accept your new reality.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Time closes wounds, but some scars remain and wounds left untreated can reopen if the scar tissue isn’t strong enough
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Nope, it’s how you make use of the time. And even well spent, there’s always a scar that remains.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
DunningKruger · 61-69, M
Sure. Wait long enough, and all of your problems will go away.
Nunki · 31-35, F
Not all but it heals many

Generally…
DIMaverick4 · 41-45, M
Heals? More like makes it bearable .. dulls them .. or so i feel..

Creates new wounds, with the stories of the old wounds appearing, but you hopefully have a chance to have learned how you healed when the new wounds come flooding in.
twistedrope · 26-30, M
No.. I don't think it does. "Fester" comes to mind. But you certainly need time to have the chance to heal a wound. That phrase, is wrong.

@WelshLovely Yes, for emotional trauma! 👍

No it doesn't heal them but it does teach us to be much smarter people, what to look out for, and what baggage to let go of that is holding us down
BLP11520 · 61-69, M
No , wish it were true. Some people never forgive and some never apologize. They wonder why your relationship is damaged 🤔
Time (experience) makes one immune to being wounded. 🙂
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SmileOnYourBrother Only with firm resolve. Otherwise, you'll find yourself right back down in the same hole.
@LadyBronte I put my worst foot forward first. Scares the women off. 😉🤭
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@SmileOnYourBrother I say whatever works for you is the way to go. I simply don't put either foot forward.
ElRengo · 70-79, M
It may happen for some.
As a more general statmente is no more than a cliché
saintsong · 41-45, F
Yes it has. And a lot of help from above!
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@saintsong You are blessed.
fun4us2b · M
It's not automatic - you have to do some active processing.
Time by itself does not heal wounds but wounds take time to heal.
Sidewinder · 36-40, M
Experiences come and go, but the memories live on.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Sidewinder Unfortunately they do.
Secretsmile · 51-55, F
I don’t think all wounds ever heal but we learn to cope.
SW-User
Sometimes. Mostly...but typically it still leaves a scar 🤷‍♂
smiler2012 · 61-69
@LadyBronte 🤔they do say so but i think not in all cases some hurt runs too deep
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@smiler2012 I believe you are correct.
Ferric67 · M
Everything heals within time, if we allow it to
Time and perspective which go hand in hand
WillaKissing · 56-60, M
Nope what akindheart said applies here.
thepreposterouspanda · 36-40, M
It's a nice sentiment, but no.

Sometimes, but not always......
not always. Depends on so many things
wildbill83 · 41-45, M
no, and in some cases time only makes it worse...
gregloa · 61-69, M
Sometimes makes it worse.
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@gregloa Agree.
No.

But we often privately hope it wounds all heels.
No, it doesn’t
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@Petruk Agree

LadyBronte · 56-60, F

masterofyou · 70-79, M
@LadyBronte Okay if you say so....

Temporarily…until you see a picture, video or hear an audio clipping of the one who has passed away, then you cry missing them all over again. And you can’t do anything about it. 💔💔💔😢😢😢😢😢
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
@tfan123 This.
WelshLovely · 46-50, F
All depends if gangrene sets in.....
Gives me a hard crust and scar tissue
LadyBronte · 56-60, F
Coldplay · 61-69, M
I still believe it does. But I think we all have the right to mourn in our own way.
time will make you numb and forgetful
SW-User
Time wounds all heals.
Felina · F
Respectfully it has worked for me in the past and is working for me now … after every pitfall in life I think time is all we really have to move forward with.
PowerofStories · 61-69, M
It might be better if Time wounded all heels.
