He’s a cautionary tale for future peoples. All of this has happened before and all of this will happen again.
Roadsterrider · 56-60, M
My favorite thing about Trump is that he isn't a career politician. I appreciate he is trying to do what he campaigned on, he is limited by the house and senate as that is the way the system is designed. He says what he means and means what he says, it is refreshing to hear an honest opinion from him instead of the politically correct words of a handler. I think the best thing he has done so far is increase tariffs on countries that unfairly trade with the US. Countries have %300 tariffs on US goods entering their country shouldn't have a very low or no tariff on their goods entering the US. Before Woodrow Wilson gave us the personal income tax in the early 1900s, government revenue came almost exclusively from tariffs.

Actually, the size of the deficit is immaterial. The deficit is one of the cornerstones of the American financial system. The sale of government bonds provide a safe and secure investment with a guaranteed rate of return. If the government could no longer redeem the securities it could simply say = "Sorry, too bad" and start over. It is under no real obligation to redeem its securities. Therefore, there is no limitation to how large the national debt can be as long as people and organizations and foreign countries continue to buy the securities.
It may not have been the norm, but what needed to get done got done. And we never had the ridiculous deficit we have now.

@Diotrephes And if we did default on the debt, where would the money for deficit spending come from? Higher taxes, nobody is going to buy the bonds in round two. There are estimates that taxes would have to be increased 200% to sustain the current level of spending and pay off the debt. Personally, I would like to see almost all spending cut until the budget is balanced and debt reduced.

A few seconds of googling found this.

It basically means that drug companies are going to pay you a LOT of money to buy the drugs off them.
I think you also mean that you will search news sources until you find something that you agree with.
I don't remember him saying anything. I search news sources and make my own opinion

I admire his honesty, his strength, his love for this country, and his willingness to step up and confront the rampant corruption in our government. He's a great father and grandfather, all of his kids and grandkids adore him, and are good productive people. He is the greatest President this country has ever had, or will have.
@AbbeyRhode DITTO!!! 🙏👍

Well said. I hear that he also treats the younger folks in his purview with a very papa like approach, showing he actually cares about them.

My favourite thing about him is he is for the people and not for himself. And, how he knows more about everything than everyone else. Who wouldn't like that? And how fit and healthy he is. And how he follows through on everything he says he is going to do. And, how passionate he is about turning America socialist. And how thick-skinned he is. No criticism of him ever bothers him.
GerOttman · 70-79, M
I think he's what the country needed. Not a perfect solution by any measure, but vastly superior to the offered alternatives. I think he has restored some measure of balance to the current political landscape. Only time will judge his place in history, for the present I'm not concerned or bothered.

His personality is sooo vibrant and magnetic that, love him or hate him, he LIVES in people's minds rent free.
He is an executive par excellence. He is a deal maker without peer. He has balls of Titanium, and he is NOT AFRAID OF ANYONE!!!
He has ALMOST turned four years of damage done to this country by the Biden regime around 180* in ONE YEAR!!!
To say that I admire him is simply not enough. When I was a little kid, I used to admire the President just because he was the President. NOW I have enough experience and intelligence to realize what MAKES a really great President...and TRUMP has it ALL.

MrSmooTh · 31-35, M
So far he's done everything he campaigned on doing. That's more than you can say for most Presidents. Most of the time they just tell you one thing and then get in there and do something else.
@MrSmooTh So he released the Epstein files?
So he's stopped the war in Ukraine on Day 1?
He promised to lover taxes, but he's actually raised them, as tariffs are by definition taxes.
He promised to lower the debt, in yet his big beautiful bill will potentially raise it more than Obama or Biden did (and they raised it a LOT)
So no, he has not come closer to doing everything he campaigned on, none of the politicians do.

The problem arises when you actually try to name even one thing he has promised to do, and has actually done.

That is SUCH a go-to statement when talking about Trump that it's almost if it's been learned by rote, by chanting it daily. The problem arises when you actually try to name even one thing he has promised to do, and has actually done.

Wrong on so many points.
Wrong #1: Trump is keeping his promises as opposed to his predecessor Joe Biden and Barack Hussein Obama.
Wrong #2: Trump is not corrupt. You mean the previous Joe Biden administration. You've been brainwashed by leftist propaganda into believing their false allegations against Trump. Trump is now exposing them.
Wrong #3: You have it reversed - it is the Democratic Party, not the Republican party, that is "...empowered by uneducated gullible people who vote against their interests." This is what the Democratic party is expert at - accusing others of what they themselves are guilty of. Accusing the Republican Party of what they themselves are doing is a tool straight out if the Leftist Playbook
Wrong #4: ...defend a leader who doesn't give a shit about them. Trump has shown again and again by deeds, not words like the corrupt Biden Crime Family did, how he cares about this nation. The majority of the American public voted Trump into office who won both the Electoral College as well as the popular vote representing a mandate - clean up house and take out the trash.
But you wouldn't know anything about these incorrect points since you clearly didn't read up on this matter before opening your mouth.
Also, break up your sentences into separate paragraphs representing the next idea, for readability. That way you won't bore and alienate the reader, and it helps build credibility in your argument. Otherwise the reader, and especially those you're trying to convince, will lose interest and worse - not even believe you.
Nevertheless I hope this helps you a lot since 1) you're clearly allowing your Hate of Trump drive your lack of being properly informed, 2) have given permission for the corrupt media to guide you, and 3) alowed your skull to perform as an Echo Chamber for the left.
Advice is to start using a 6th grade level reading instruction book to improve your writing skills. Good luck and hope this solid advice helps you.
PS - You don't live in this great nation and unfortunately for you, you live in a shit hole cuntry where your excuse for a 'president' RatCasa (or whatever his bullshit name is) is lying about committing white genocide. So your opinion doesn't count anyway. May the fleas of a thousand wild hyena's scrotums on the savanna infest what's left of your grandmother's prefrontal lobe.
Oh and have a nice day!🌞

@akindheart Nothing you have said has made sense.
Because you live close to an island you get a lot of News?
What does the Island have to do with the quality of the News?
And who, besides you, is talking about any Island?
Believe it or not, they can even travel, and get on planes, and go places, they didn't have to stay on any island.

Basically I think he’s the antichrist and will be glad when he’s out of office.
Whether it means prison or perdition; either works for me.
But I have the sinking feeling those are the options.
I don’t see him understanding that this is his second term—and he ain’t FDR. 🤨
