See Depression comes in all forms .
Coming into different seasons can effect your mode . That's called Seasonal Affective Disorders . During the winter some people have to go abroad to for sunny weather cause the changing in the weather's can affect your mode .
If that's not the case with your depression , try sit with it on a daily basis and it might get easier .
Or else if your looking for the depression to lift straight away your looking for a sedative state of mind which can't be reached cause it's an illusion of the mind wanting to be happy and peaceful all the time which never happens in anyone's life .
You get more frustrated trying to fix yourself ..
Or else and I can't give advice on this or tell you what to do but some people take the medical root if there suffering from severe depression.

Nutrition is very important too. Lots of omega 3 and complete amino acids (fish, avocados, eggs, meat, nuts, and other proteins)

an SSRI antidepressant for 6 months

sign up for a fun class or volunteer somewhere

join a prayer group

write in a journal

talk about what's upsetting you with a friend or therapist.

Most things on TV internet YouTube or just going to make it worse it's better to get active and involved with things find out what your local activities are that are free maybe volleyball or basketball at the local community center learn hobbies learn trades follow whatever you're passionate about but just make sure that you're doing it for enjoyment. If you enjoyed gardening take a gardening class if you enjoy computers take classes on how to learn how to program how to build computers whatever fascinates you get involved in that TV YouTube is filled with a bunch of fake people it will not help with depression.

@dale74 tbh tv helps my depression. Everyone is different. When i watch my movies/shows or tiktok etc, it helps ignore my problems because im into the story of what is happening.
That is one way, try to say busy. Mine comes back when i try to rest my mind.
@Lubna Meds help a lot.

Get yourself a cat as a pet.

Keep busy, but also try to workout and do things to make you feel good, if it gets too much, talking to a professional might help 🤷🏻‍♂

@Lubna I’m sorry to hear that, then keeping busy will definitely help, talking to someone your trust or even keeping a journal could help too
Lubna · 22-25, F
@IamBack keeping a journal you mean to express my worries on paperbook?
IamBack · 31-35, M
@Lubna yup, a journal or diary can be therapeutic
Go out, get hobbies, do things which you love to do. Have some me time. Eat and have fun. I know it's hard sometimes but it's better then wasting our precious time thinking about something which isn't going to help.

What interests do you have? Books are good, even re-reading childhood favourites. Craftwork. Swimming, watching movies with favourites snacks. Walks in the fresh air helps favourite food.
Scrapbooking..

Is there something specific that is depressing you, or is it just generalized depression? Once that question is answered, you can then work on combatting the íssue.

Watch stuff, music, read, exercise, walk - the internet is not a good tool when you are in a depression mode - trust me I know. Sending Love 2 U ❤

I used to get a stack of books and just force myself to read, even if I wasn't interested in reading at the moment. It actually helped a lot.

Do some productive thing. It will automatically bring positivity in your mind.
minxy · 46-50, F
That's how I handle it to keep it from taking hold too tightly, distract the thoughts.
Unlearn · 41-45, M
Distractions may help you forget, but they never solve the underlying issue.
Rolexeo · 26-30, M
It depends why you're depressed, do you have a job, hobbies?
Do the hard thing and it will slowly get better over the years.
