What is the worst physical pain you've ever been in?

Ok, [i]so[/i] it’s [i]almost[/i] kidney stones.
But I had one particular migraine once that was worse than all 3 kidney stones. I get migraines often, and that one stands out as the worst pain, and I don’t know how anything could top it.
I was literally paralyzed from pain. I was not able to move. I was not able to cry. I was not able to think. I didn’t know pain could be like that.

Blown out of a vehicle and then shot twice. The burns hurt worse than the gsw.

A cyst bursting. I fell to the ground, screaming 😶 second was the spinal for my second c section

Hard to say, honestly, just bc I've never had that bad of pain all at once. Double ear infection was pretty bad until I learned just how effective ibuprophen is for the job. Unrelatedly, I ran into the ground once on a back road, slammed right into it face-first. At the time, I couldn't breathe and I assumed I'd broken a rib & punctured my lung with it. But as you can guess by the fact that I'm still here, that wasn't the case; I had actually just bruised the shit out of my torso muscles and winded myself lol.

It ached badly for a few months and my parents didn't believe me at first, but it was a more tolerable type of pain where it would partially subside if you just laid down and did nothing.

getting all my impacted wisdom teeth extracted without sedatives and an exam and flight after that

Kidney stones. They say it is the closest a man will ever come to giving labor. Makes you appreciate the Moms of the world even more.

Sneezing with a broken rib

I experienced severe abdominal pain, 10/10, in March 2019. In May 2019, after several tests (CT scans, MRI, fine needle biopsy, etc.), I was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma (a rare form of cancer). I had surgery in July 2019, and I am okay for now.

Compound calcaneous fracture, no pain reliever for an hour and a half. My heel basically exploded on the inside.

When this doctor I could kill, told me it would be fine and there would be very very little pain if any, when he pulled the tube from my kidneys without any anesthetic. I had been operated on for kidney stones. If you ever have these, make sure no matter what they do, that they put you under. ALL the way under! The broken arm and shattered shoulder replacement surgery I had two years earlier, was easier than THAT! The second worst pain would definitely be childbirth. They say you forget, but no. Not that kind of pain. Not for me, anyway.

Weirdly, I was mowing grass and the push mower kicked up a pointed rock that imbedded itself in my lower leg, all the way against the tibia bone.

Imagine stubbing your toe with a nuclear warhead.

It bled and all that, but I nearly fainted from the pain - and it lasted for nearly an hour.

The doctor told me such missiles fired from a lawn mower are traveling 250 mph.

Blessedly, eventually it stopped.

I literally got ran over by a car. My injuries included broken Tibia and fibula and a concussion. Road rash all over my body and a Cephalohematoma

Sciatica - burning pain from my butt down my entire leg. Felt like I was being cut open with a knife.

I was aiming for the football but I kicked the Earth instead. I did not budge.

When I was about 18 I would get severe abdominal pains and end up in the hospital barely conscious. The doctors could not figure out what was causing the pain because they would press into my abdomen looking for abnormalities and the pain would disappear. A few months later I would be back. Eventually one doctor figured out it was appendicitis that didn't present itself like appendicitis. They took my appendix out and I have been pain free ever since.

Toothache due to severe abscess infection

When my eye started falling apart and stopped producing enough fluid to hold its shape. Nine months of pain like a hot knife twisting in it all day every day before the doctor stopped trying to save it and just decided to remove it.

By comparison, passing a twelve millimeter kidney stone is a distant second on my pain index.

There's a kind of pain, an internal sensation, when someone goes in with a scope, needle or other implements, as with deep joint issues. If awake and only locally anesthetized, this pain/sensation leads to an immediate urge to vomit it's so overwhelming. Full body cell involvement. If I don't feel it again, it will be too soon.

Literally, sharp pain in my chest when I experienced a heartbreak. No kidding. It felt as if I was having a heart attack. It lasted till the next day. I am healthy and I was in my late 20s so I'm not even sure why it happened.

Probably 4th degree burn. Happened slow so got to feel it for awhile before the nerves died.

3rd degree burns. I've never felt such searing pain in my life...
and then lost sensation at the burn site for many many years.

I've experienced very painful intestinal cramping that made me feel like I was going to pass out. I've also experienced intense pain from a UTI. More externally I once fell off my bike and the gear jammed into my leg. 😖

maybe having the headmaster at my primary school trying to pull out a 'stone' out of my forearm after i had broken it at lunchtime
and it was the bone he was pulling
i had a double compound fracture

and the other is when i cut my finger off and the doctors were touching exposed nerve endings to see which were live and which were damaged
that was pretty painful

Probably when I pulled my lower back.. I laid on the ground for 4 hours until I forced myself back up .. and all it took was an aspirin to alleviate the shocking pain I was in ..

Man im just saddened to read all these with so many people hurting:/ thats why i always say it could always be worse and someone has it worse then you :(

After a car accident getting ribs broken and needing a hysterectomy

having a tendon with a spiral cut stitched with no anesthesia. i was sweating bullets

Breaking my arm then having it set with no anesthetic

Had a salmonella infection in my ear canel....

Tooth infection,by far.
Honorable mention goes to impaling my ring finger with a nail gun and reaching around with pliers to unhinge myself from the lattice.I managed to not fall off the ladder or get too much blood on the client's new redwood fence and deck.Redwood stains easily when it's fresh.Applied neosporin,paper towel and electrical tape,finished out the day.A finishing nail by the way,not like a huge eightpenny...still though,the idea of >ka>chunk! nailing your finger to a fence and pulling it out yourself sticks with you.
Not as bad as various broken bones,true,but a better story.
I have a few decent gruesome kitchen injury stories too.

Hit in the face with a chunk of flying metal. Shattered one side of my jaw, shattered my teeth, cracked the bones in my face, and broke my neck.

Probably when I got my sinus surgery. The burning throughout my face into my sinuses, into my ears, into my throat for days was unbearable and I had a freaking natural birth lol

Gall bladder attack

When I was working about 60 hours a week years ago. It didn't seem that bad then but from what I remember my feet were quite sore and my back too. I guess it probably wasn't so bad especially because I was younger.

Ruptured spleen. Broken ribs. Broken ankle. All at once

I think everyone has the same pain when they do this. Hit small toe on corner of something(table, tv stand, hutch or night stands)

When I smashed a tailgate on my thumb.

Though comes in second was last night. I dropped a heavy tv on my toes.

Broken ribs. Worse than broken back. I never had to cough so much till I broke some ribs.

Kidney stones. Severe abdominal pain and nausea, impossible to find relief for two days 😞
