I experienced severe abdominal pain, 10/10, in March 2019. In May 2019, after several tests (CT scans, MRI, fine needle biopsy, etc.), I was diagnosed with peritoneal mesothelioma (a rare form of cancer). I had surgery in July 2019, and I am okay for now.
@SomeMichGuy I spent nine days in the hospital, and it took me almost four months to recover. Over $300K in medical expenses, all paid for by insurance. For example: My hospital room was $2, 227 per day.
@SomeMichGuy Indeed. I received IV Ibuprofen for pain - $200 per dose, four times a day, $800 total. As I recovered, a nursing assistant would take me for a walk in the hallway for exercise, $150 each time.
