@snofan Maybe not food but restaurants. Big cities in the U.S. have most every conceivable food from other countries readily available. That doesn't happen everywhere. There are some things that would be considered "American," like burgers, hot dogs, BBQ, buffalo wings and jambalaya but, given migration, a lot of popular dishes are takes off of what arrived from other countries.

Di you have to be careful of ingredients in prepared food, and in restaurants?

@OliRos Yes I have to be careful. Very few places I will go to and then the selection is
Limited. I don’t go out to eat often and absolutely no fast foods

@KiwiBird name a single foreign based restaurant chain that's as ubiquitous as mcdonalds, burger king, KFC, etc. (and those barely scratch the surface of US cuisine)...

their little minds would be blown if they actually ate our real food...

@Monalisaa1986 nothing like home cooking in America then. Tacos are of Mexican origin but not like homemade ones and Pizza is Italian origin but nothing like Italian pizza that would be made at home in Italy. And KFC is a joke compared to fried chicken that we had on the farm with fresh chicken and cooked in a cast-iron skillet.
