I could be off mark, but I feel on EP people talked about their experiences and their interests, whereas on SW people talk about their politics and PINNED…their world view or attitudes. I guess it’s indicative of a the change in society. Which is a pity because I prefer the EP posts. Nowadays is the problem with having an open mind is there’s no shortage people trying to fill it with their... See More »
One of my greatest fears is outliving my wife. I think this comes from the first 2mins of the film Up. PINNEDSociety and public services aren’t kind to lonely old men. And by then my daughters will be busy having adventures of their own. (1)
Gen X was probably the last generation of feral kids. PINNEDI remember one boring humid summer day where me and my mates, most of us 8-10 years old spent the day trying to put leeches on girls, or touching the electrified cattle fence for shits and giggles. One day some guy laying water pipe didn’t know... See More »
Took my kids to the families open day at RAF Coningsby today to show them where I used to work and watch the flying. PINNEDThe weather was overcast but dry and warm. The girls enjoyed watching the flying, charity stalls and fairground and I enjoyed the currywurst. Pity there was no beer tent. Apologies for the quality of the photos. My kids got in the better ones which... See More » (5)
I’m feeding barbecue pork ribs to the children of my vegan sister in law, mostly to amuse myself but also so they’ll visit less often. The little guys lit up like just gave them a Mario mushroom. 😁 (1)
England fans need to calm down. To make it to two finals in a row is a good result.Do England fans think the other nations are just going to roll over every time they hear “3 lions” being sung? Speaking as a Englander 🏴
Has anyone watch Masters of the Air? I’ve mixed feelings about. While a show covering the important contribution of the 8th Air Force crews is long over due, I don’t think this show has delivered. With crews of 10 men per aircraft the show only focuses on the experiences of just a few officers. The lives of the a... See More »
England are through to the final again. I can’t believe it after the crap the played in the groups. But here they are.Well done lads. I didn’t know you had it in you. Respect to the Dutch.
Today’s lunch break useless click bait from MSN : “The horrible fictional characters that men worship“I think some triggered media student is about to tell me I shouldn’t like Tony Soprano because he’s “toxic”.
Well Italy yesterday and now I reckon England are about to crash out of the Euros.I’d be mad about it normally but frankly we don’t deserve to have gotten this far on the performances I’ve seen. (1)
Sunday you beaut. I can smell my roast dinner cooking, the kids are playing out on the street. It’s only a couple of hours to the Grand PrixMight get a beer. (1)
After an hour of football and defending champs Italy still haven’t had a shot on target. 😬It’s been a weird tournament so far. I’m guessing it’ll be a Germany Spain final. But who knows the way things are going.
I want a boat.It doesnt have to go anywhere. But after staying on a mates this weekend drinking, barbecuing and arsing around in the sun, I want one too.
You can never truly appreciate your own parents unless you have kids of your own.And realise how hard good parenting actually is and what an unappreciative little shit you were.😂
I wish there was a socially acceptable way of saying "your children look like potential serial killers".
When younger generations ask if you had fat shaming at your school. 😂We had fat shaming, skinny shaming, speccy four eyes shaming, ginger shaming, you mum would get it shaming, your dads an alchy shaming, four stripe adidas trainers shaming, rail road teeth shaming. And if you had a problem with that you got - can’t... See More »
