I am waiting for the Moderna version to come out. You will know it's Moderna if you live in the USA and can get the vaccine at your pharmacy or Doctor's office. The Moderna vaccine only needs to be refrigerated.

The Moderna vaccine has been tested on all age groups and people who have received it have not had any allergic reactions, whereas the Pfizer vaccine can lead to severe allergic reaction in anyone who uses an epi pen or who has asthma.

Apparently all of these vaccines started using fetal tissue to create the RNA messenger protein they contain, BUT the Pope has signed off on it, and I listened to a Bishop yesterday saying that the vaccines have been approved by the Holy See.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou homeopathic? Doctors know that Vitamin D is linked to a strong immune system.
4meAndyou · F
@cherokeepatti Yes, and a lot of other things. But that's not what they are taught to do in medical school.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@4meAndyou Because if they got their patients really healthy then they wouldn’t get the business coming in. I think their major is Business and their minors are Medicine.
4meAndyou · F
I have already been vaccinated. Basically, I decided I didn't want to be dead...🤣.
My son caught the virus from his wife, and the entire household came down with it, and now he has natural antibodies.

The virus is getting weaker, and is no where near as lethal as it was at first. That's what viruses do.

I just hope that kids between the ages of 12 to 18 are aware of the heart inflammation problems that are showing up in a very small percentage of their age group from both the Moderna and the Pfizer vaccines...AFTER the second dose.
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
@4meAndyou In case you haven't been paying attention, and obviously you haven't, there is a type D variant that is stronger than the rest.
4meAndyou · F
@MasterDvdC I have been paying extremely careful attention, Mr. Rudesby. The type D variant is HIGHLY contagious. And weak as cuck. It is far less likely to be fatal.

One more rude bit of business and you are gone from my view.
room101 · 51-55, M
So you're a biochemist? Is that why "what the heck they put in there" bothers you so much?

ABCDEF7 · M
You don't know what is there in medicines & injections they give you when you are seriously ill and hospitalized, but you still accept those and believe doctors. Vaccine is just a type of preventive medicine.
ABCDEF7 · M
@cherokeepatti I wish you always stay healthy. 🤗
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@ABCDEF7 thank you. I have found out for myself that most of the recommendations that doctors have for treating viruses such as using OTC decongestants, antibiotics and vaccines actually work against my immune system. The decongestants will dry out your sinuses so much that when there is anything floating around in the air you will catch it much easier. Antibiotics make your immune system lazy and help produce super germs, and vaccines also make your immune system lazier.
ABCDEF7 · M
@cherokeepatti Yes, I agree that it's always better to have active immunity than passive immunity. I personally believe in Ayurveda, Naturopathy and Yoga. And that Allopathy should just be used in emergency situations.
BlueRain · F
Never. Who would get a vaccine that came out in a few months?
@BlueRain The vaccine is already here.
BlueRain · F
i know
Penny · 46-50, F
well, i totally understand your position on it, but at the same time, I don't want to get the coronavirus so I think I am going to get the vaccine when it's available. i dont get flu shots but this coronavirus looks scary with its' potential complications from having it
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Penny Your flu risk will be much higher in about 20 years, so you might want to start getting an annual flu shot by then, in addition to the coronavirus vaccine now.
Penny · 46-50, F
@windinhishair i rarely used to get the flu and if i did it didnt last long, then i had to get the flu shot for work for a while and the couple years after that i got the flu so much. now i'm back to rarely getting it so I figure it's not worth the risk. i think getting the flu shot actually compromised my immune system (after stopping getting the shot) for a time somehow. for prevention I wash my hands religiously every time i come home from being out. a few times if i'm handling bags and such. (like after handling the bags again) havent had the flu in over a decade now.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@Penny I had the flu in 1984 and the swine flu in 2009, so twice in 36 years. I had issues for over six months the last time, so I started getting the annual flu vaccine then, and will continue to do so. You know your body and what works best for you.
MasterDvdC · 61-69, M
I talked to my Doctor and he recommends it and will call me when it's available.
FreestyleArt · 31-35, M
No I will not get Faucied.
Adogslife · 61-69, M
who knows what the heck they put in there ..
Yeah, I feel the same way about McDonalds; but, I’m not going to be a participant in someone’s death by skipping the drive through.
carpediem · 61-69, M
By the time I'm even given the opportunity to take it, lots of people would have already taken it. I'll be more comfortable with the idea by then. But my initial inclination is to take it. But I don't have any issue if someone else doesn't want to. It is a personal choice. That choice needs to be respected.

These people who are pushing for identifiers for vaccinated people are just plain wrong. Be careful of them. They're the enemy of freedom.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
Today the CDC said that the vaxes don't work. Something people who followed the science knew from day one.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
It’s not even been tested enough to be approved by the FDA…they don’t want to bear responsibility for it in other words. I don’t know why people have been brainwashed into agreeing to have an unproven substance injected into them. And this heavy handed bribing people to take the vaccine, now Biden is going to send teams to go door-to-door looking for unvaccinated people to give the vaccine to.
missit15 · 56-60, M
I hope everyone's attitude is changing and people realize they were being lied to. The only people really dying now from covid are the ones not vaccinated. Lets work together and get covid stopped. Time for life to get back to normal.
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@missit15 You are correct, but unfortunately, most of the unvaccinated would rather die than receive a vaccine. They will eventually get their wish, or get the virus and live, with or without severe side effects.
dakotaviper · 56-60, M
I got it and the first booster as well and have been tested negative several times after being exposed. But I know several people that did too and got COVID afterwards anyway. Had 1 family member die from COVID after getting the vaccine and all boosters. Chris died this past May and left his wife (my cousin) after 30+ years of marriage completely devastated. I know of several people that didn't get the vaccines, were exposed to COVID, tested negative, and are fine. No One has been able to explain why some get it, why some die, and why some don't get it. The claim of under-lying health conditions is a factor doesn't fly either, because completely healthy people have also died from COVID.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@dakotaviper Virtually no one died FROM covid. Those who died died because of medical malpractice while fighting covid. Using unsafe medicines and treatments all the while ignoring safe and effective treatments caused a lot of covid deaths.
Driver2 · M
Good question , who knows if what they give the politicians is the same stuff they give us. I hate being so suspicious but that’s where we are now .
Overall I’m sure it’s fine they have too much money to lose if it’s not .
That’s a good thing😃
Tsondru · M
I am taking it as soon as I can.

One, I am more likely to be hurt by getting COVID and having lasting effects than any vaccine side effect.

Two, I have things to do. Volunteer work depends on it, travel abroad, etc.
smiler2012 · 56-60
{@sweetgirl2020] i am through work i work in the national health service so it is to my own interest and other family members too i have it . getting the first shot tomorrow

@Ynotisay Yeah that's what I just said, if her condition has her passing out at every moment she feels pain, then why did it take 17mins for her body to register the jab in the arm? Oh and the woman that's passed out 6 times in as many weeks is going to be the poster child for vaccines... right...🙄 I've got apartments to sell you on Mars. Contact me for further details.

Yes I will get it were all gonna die sometime but if its gonna help me live a bit longer its worth the risk as if I get corona it will kill me .
Caramelwonder · 36-40, M
No It came out too fast
You don’t know what is in it
You don’t know the side affects
You already have something called an immune system
maybe if I hadn't recovered from it already, giving me wonderful immunity... and also my good sense will PREVENT any other form of it now...
alan20 · M
Definitely. This is much too serious an issue for self-appointed experts to be spreading scare stories.
SW-User
I've lived this long with all of the vaccines I've received. I would take if it available.
IWasCallingYaLarry · 26-30, M
I mean we're starting now to see the negatives about these vaccines being rushed out. We don't have any studies on the longterm affects down the line for them. Abd turns out getting the moderna vaccines and boosters give you a higher chance at having miyocarditis and heart problems than the vaccines from other companies do. There's legit investigations going on right now into these vaccines over this.
Byron8by7 · M
I will get the vaccine when it is available for me.
I won't be getting it
SW-User
nope i dont need it
revenant · F
I was forced...big difference...otherwise I could not board the plane. And no I would not take it.
FatherTime · 61-69, M
I would. hell it can't get any worse
FatherTime · 61-69, M
@windinhishair what's gonna happen? you know something we don't?
windinhishair · 61-69, M
@FatherTime Two things: 1) Right-wing violence on January 6 when Pence is forced to accept the legally-cast electoral votes, and 2) large increases in coronavirus case loads and deaths from people congregating over the holidays, against all recommendations. There may be other things stemming from Trump's removal from office, but the first two are inevitable.
FatherTime · 61-69, M
@windinhishair like I said things can't get worse
MrGomco · 36-40, M
I would get the russian vaccine, And only that one.
windinhishair · 61-69, M

@RogueLoner And what if you pass it on to someone who will end up with a much worse case than "a cold or flu" - or, what if you are unlucky enough to be affected by "Long Covid"... that's affecting people who were perfectly healthy before they caught Covid19.

Peapod · 61-69, F
Yes I would. I know by the time it is available to me, millions will likely be in line ahead of me.

I never took a flu shot until I got horribly ill with the flu. I no longer question getting the vaccine every year.
Peapod · 61-69, F
@ExtremeNext I got the flu when I was in my 8th month of pregnancy with my daughter. This was many years ago. I got pneumonia and felt like I was suffocating. I could have died. That was the end of me ever thinking I was bigger than a virus.
ExtremeNext · 31-35
@Peapod that is scary what you just said about pneumonia do people realise what Covid even is, it's double pneumonia and you do suffercate or drown in your own lungs
A vaccine can't come quick enough
Peapod · 61-69, F
@ExtremeNext Dying from COVID is probably the worst way to die. I cannot imagine a slow drown without my loved ones not being able to hold my hand. And I don't understand the lack of compassion because a lot of these people are older. So what! They matter to someone. My MIL lived to be 98. Had she gotten COVID and died in her 70s, we all would have been robbed of 20 plus years with her.

Another consideration is that here are millions of people that don't die from COVID, but they have lifelong organ damage. They are often in the hospital for weeks and prone to other problems.

I was struck down by shingles in late 2019. I now have permanent, painful nerve damage from this virus within. I got the vaccine last spring so maybe I won't get another severe outbreak. Too many people don't understand how devastating some of these viruses are.

I can't get it fast enough either.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
No I wouldn’t, a priest in Philadelphia has already died after taking it.
Peapod · 61-69, F
@SW-User Exactly.
Spokeskitties75 · 46-50, M
@cherokeepatti well my Aunt who was healthy, got COVID... got a blood clot in her lungs... traveled to her brain... and she is not expected to live to see the New Year.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
@Spokeskitties75 Sorry about your aunt but I am sick all winter long every time I’ve taken the flu vaccine. I took it 3 times & after I stopped that being sick all winter long also stopped. It messes with my immune system.
SW-User
They declare what is in it. Do you really know what is in half the stuff that you consume? Do you read every ingredient? If you do, why is that different to the vaccine when the ingredients are published? Why would you trust food or medication more than the vaccine?
justanothername · 51-55, M
@SW-User Well said. There are a lot of hypochondriacs out there.
SW-User
@SW-User precisely.
