the complete betrayel by the western democracies...
4meAndyou · F
@PinkPunk I predicted that BIDEN would betray Ukraine. And Taiwan...but I didn't know that all of EU would do the same thing.

tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
1) The appalling performance of the Russian military.Definately the villans but their performance stinks.
2)How Russia invading it's neighbor is blamed by some on the U.S. President. He isn't even on the same continent.
TexChik · F
@tallpowerhouseblonde And russia's incursion had greatly interfered with that. Which I support
tallpowerhouseblonde · 36-40, F
@TexChik I just can't agree with Russia invading.War is such a terrible thing. To experience it must be far worse than anything I could imagine. One woman today had three family members killed by the Russians.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@TexChik I agree with you. Russia is very justified for cleaning up the American mess created in Ukraine. Bio labs, Money laundering, Political corruption. Ever why Graham is calling for Putin's assassination? Lindsay is up to his armpits in Ukrainian Graft and Putin is pulling the plug on his cash cow.
the absolute reluctance by all those who chose to parrot the media from day 1.
to acknowldge that NATO/USA are the major cause of it all.

Not clear who is bombing them, really the russians or zionists. I saw one video of a resident of the city was recording his block and apartment complex being bombed and he said those were not russian soldiers. I don’t believe anything that the masonic mass media 📺 lies in the “news”, only the local residents filming with their phones and that footage never gets to any TV stations and the world
ProfessorPlum77 · 70-79, MVIP
@InHeaven I was being facetious in my Lincoln comment.
I don't see how or why a group or "Zionists" would assemble a forty-mile long convoy of soldiers in Russia and invade Ukraine.
Plus, if Ukraine is being attacked by "Zionists," why are some of the Jews considering leaving the country? I would think they would welcome such an invasion.
I am pro-Israel so I don't believe anything I read about "Zionists."
InHeaven · F
@ProfessorPlum77 I realized you wouldn’t want to hear anything about Zionists by the lincoln comment you posted, I figured you are pro Israel thats why it triggered you. 🤷‍♀️ There was no point in elaborating on anything cause it would just develop into a loooooooooong argument for which I have no time and desire. Good night
strongbow · 46-50, M
@InHeaven The war is basically the Russian jewish oligarchs vs the Ukranian jewish oligarchs fighting for control of raping and robbing the goyim of Ukraine. Basically like two drug gangs fighting over who gets to sling crack on MLK blvd. The US jewish oligarchs are working with the Ukrainan ones (Burisma, etc) so they want you to die to keep their scams running smoothly.
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M

hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@beckyromero Your opinion and a couple of dollars will get your a cup of coffee at McDonalds. Eisenhower isn't really part of our discussion anyways. He is long dead but did give us a good warning about what we should expect to see from the deep state. On that point I agree with him

watching a video of the victims of a Russian bombing in Ukraine that killed over 50 people, the news reporter was doing a story and the bodies were wrapped with sheets of black plastic and then the wind started up and one body had the plastic blowing off and the cadaver reached over and grabbed the plastic and pulled it back over himself. It was a miracle!
Nimbus · M
hippyjoe1955 · 61-69, M
@cherokeepatti It could have been. I saw it and laughed as I have seen the whole thing before. Somber face intoning great death. I was amazed how all the cadavers were 'socially distanced'. Maybe they were short of body bags and wanted to make the 'slaughter' appear much worse? Either way it was a funny bit of propaganda that didn't work.
@cherokeepatti is it the one they are talking about here: https://theprint.in/hoaxposed/video-of-moving-corpse-in-ukraine-is-actually-from-climate-change-protest-in-vienna/854759/?

@swirlie I've never claimed to be escaping the warzone, Europe is rather big. But I'm under the impression you're judging the U.S. response (only them or NATO as a whole?) maybe insufficient. So my question is: what would you do differently?
This message was deleted by its author.
AmberDuponte · 26-30, F
@swirlie Some parts I agree with, some not...

Certainly not with the America is behind every thought on NATO's tactics. I think NATO are using their criteria to the letter and, like most other countries, are just afraid of starting something a bit more nuclear...

But, and it's my thoughts that if this is just a pissing contest with just who is boss, if all the big dogs (Countries) threaten with nuclear strikes then they will soon back down....
That trump and pompeo haven’t moved in with their lover.

The incompetent and sick people running our country now .

You mean world's government, not just in one country.

The British has PM who looks like an escapee from 'Little Britain'
The good ole U S of A has a Pres who does not know where he is or who his is talking to having a 'old persons' moment.
Australia has a PM who is all talk and no action.

I could go on but not enough space here from the rest of the world.

@Justmeraeagain Yep, kinda worrying.
What I honestly find the most shocking is that there are users right here on Similar Worlds, persons I agree with on nearly every other issue under the sun, who quite literally believe that economic sanctions are precisely as bad as bombing entire towns out of existence when they are 15 miles or more from any legitimate military target.

A number of things.....

How certain countries (ie, Pakistan et al) have wimped out all because of their energy deals with Russia...

How NATO are really doing bugger all - giving weapons? Nice...how about a few more people on the battlefront?!?

How certain energy companies (stand up, Shell) are still buying their petrol/diesel from Russia.

How it's all Biden's fault! Erhhhh....how?!?

...and how, if all the nuclear countries did aim their weapons at Russia and threatened to blow the country up they would fold very, very quickly...

...and how it's being reported. Could you actually be there and see all that without doing something? I know I wouldn't....

My thoughts...
wildbill83 · 36-40, M
@AmberDuponte Trump was trying to make us more energy self reliant by drilling for oil here, and democrats blocked every attempt, and they accuse him of collusion

Biden blocked lease renewals for domestic oil, stopped keystone pipeline, made us even more dependent on foreign oil, supported russian/ukraine pipeline, endorsed buying oil from russia; then tries to play it off as Trumps fault...

the democrats & greenies seem to have this mentality that using our own oil & resources creates too much pollution, but buying it from countries like Russia and China (who don't give a shit about environment) is perfectly fine...

i.e. the biden administration is at least partly to blame for this mess...

I’ve always known that NATO can’t do sh!t against Russia except barking.
However, it looks like economic sanctions are more effective than direct combat. The only downside is not being able to stop the killing of Ukrainian civilians.

All of it has shocked me. I worry. I worry about Putin getting bullied into a corner. He has to have a way to exit and save face while doing it. Why would he let others beat him into submission when he's got a weapon up his sleeve? The most dangerous people are the one who feel they no longer have anything to lose and have the capability to pull off a plan of destruction.
morrgin · F
@ImperialAerosolKidFromEP all the sanctions. Maybe if he gets himself there he will just stay there
@morrgin those sanctions aren't going to do much unless Russians start to turn on him. And if they do, who's he going to nuke? I suppose the most likely way it would lead to an expanding war is if he decides to attack a NATO country to somehow stave off a coup at home

Nothing - what do you expect from a egotistic little man called Putin

A HISTORY LESSON - October 13, 2014

Prime Minister Tony Abbott has vowed to "shirtfront" Vladimir Putin when the pair meet at the G20 summit in Brisbane next month - but will the Russian President know what's coming?

"Shirtfront" is an AFL term used to describe a collision between two players, where one player is hit "front-on" by another player coming from the opposite direction.

But was critised by many that were too scared to say anything

@Carlisle the so called "progressives" are always going on about foresight/protecting the future, etc.

apparently, this is an exception; none are thinking ahead. So if Russia takes Ukraine, what next? Poland? Romania?

How far will they let them push before they push back, will the prepare themselves, or make like it's 1938 and wait until Russia spans coast to coast before doing anything about it?

When will the western world realize that we don't need charismatic leaders that can kiss everyone ass; we need strong leaders that can put their foot down and aren't afraid to "offend" a few people...

beckyromero · 36-40, F
@FrogManSometimesLooksBothWays

Well, I think it was a fair question.

If Churchill had given in, the U.S. pre-war effort would have fizzled. That is until Japan eventually attacked us (maybe not the same way they did; and without a more prepared America facing them, fewer ships would have been being built at the time and there would have not been a draft already in place).

Nazi atomic research would have continued. But would there have been a Manhattan Project?

Without Britain remaining in the war, there's no Lend-Lease program and the Soviet Union surely collapses without U.S. and British aid.
@beckyromero The question is whether Putin would be satisfied with just taking Ukraine. Or whether he wants more than Ukraine, the way Hitler wanted more than Czechoslovakia. We don't really know that right now.
