I got Cellulitis (if you don't know and want to, look it up, if curious) after my vasectomy procedure, after my daughter arrived. I was supposed to be off work for 2-3 days. I was actually feeling fine, so I came back after 2 days. I ended up going to the ER that same morning. I won't go into full detail, but I was out of work for another 5 weeks afterwards. The "nether region" ended up swelling to the size of a cantaloupe. I had to go back every week for what I called the "Just a Little off the Top, Please and Thank You" procedure. 😩Sorry to anyone who dealt with the same or similar.

@Levenrack omg 🥺 i'm so sorry you went through that.
After my childhood, I thought I'd paid the price. Made a beautiful life, had it all. Over 5 minutes on a hot summer day in June of 2019, I lost everything that I knew. I crawled back, a different person, stronger. Lost my mom and then my mobility. Became bedridden. Had surgery a few weeks ago, will have the other soon. Recovery is slow. Humbling. Through it all, I didn't lose my sense of humor, though. I'm still laughing, better than crying.....
I'd have to go with giving birth, had to have 2 blood transfusions and still couldn't get enough blood because I have o- and they had to save it for car crash victims. I was in the hospital for 5 days and it was extremely hard for me to recover.

Kidney stones was second

The worst pain was last year when spinal pressure on nerves cause level 9/10 pain. I could not sit at all. Standing gave me relief, but I had to walk with a walker. Lying down helped, but the pain was still around a 5. Lumbar decompression surgery provided relief. Pain-free now.

Losing my parents. My dad was sudden death and it blew me away. My mom was hospice and I had her brought home. I was wrecked in those times. Physically and mentally I was wrecked during these times.

I’m about to find out, because I’m going in for open heart surgery in three weeks.
TexChik · F
@BamPow make sure they give you your coughing pillow as soon as you wake up!
BamPow · 51-55, M
@TexChik I’m going to a great heart hospital. Plus, my wife is in nursing and rehab, so I’m sure she’s going to make sure they provide everything while also being a bit of a drill sergeant with me if I slack on any of the rehab, which apparently starts day of surgery.
TexChik · F
@BamPow It's an ouchie and a half...but it's worth it. Good luck.

Labor and delivery of a child. It was astonishing. My body just said, get back, I am doing this without you...and it took over in a very scary way!

Chronically, fibromyalgia. Or I'd say cancer/hysterectomy or the lumpectomy on my tits, or the vein procedures on my legs that take a year to heal...

Or perhaps it is not my mind, but life. Life is crushing.

Getting old a tiny bit at a time.
working in a cement block and brick factory, 14 years employment ,
Physically: getting hit by a falling tree and only walking away with minor memory problems
Mentally: forcing myself to accept someone that I loved fully will never see me the same way. Was fucking soul crushing
