@FreddieUK When people don’t tell you things, you have to find out or you have to figure it out which means no one is there for you. As painful as information can be, it doesn’t hurt as much as not even being worth it.

@tobynshorty I had a total replacement, yup. It was a rough year; took them five weeks to diagnose that it was broken. By the time they did, I had blood clots in my leg and groin. Then I managed to cut my foot and it got infected with cellulitis since the blood flow was so messed up from the break. After that, I was going to an orthopedist who kept assuring me it was going to heal and I was on too much pain medication to advocate for myself so we just kept going to see him.

I ended up being in the hospital six times that year.

@tobynshorty Yup! Damaged my faith in the medical industry even more than it already had been. I had become chronically ill and disabled the year before the hip stuff and that was its own set of craziness.

@workathome sorry! My Father died the other day, and We also went to his funeral. Then Allah sent him back into my home. So, I don't become an orphan :)

One of the things my mother had confessed to the therapist in her own session, and didnt even see it as a confession..in fact ACTED LIKE I KNEW ALL ALONG..and likely planted knowing that the therapist would do the unethical/ethical thing by telling me the contents of their private session: My school had asked me to walk in my high school graduation, and she had let me worry and fester about whether I would be able to..due to the abuse and a bad teacher, I was off by a single point, and my grades had suffered. SHE TOLD THEM NO, THAT I COULD SIT IN THE AUDIENCE AND WATCH AS MY CLASSMATES WALKED. This was a private school, mind you, and I only had 8 other classmates. Plus this was the 2nd graduating class ever. She went on to tell the therapist that oh what a blessed event it was when my parents handed me my diploma at the door, donned in my graduation garb, took a single picture, and called it a day..on Christmas day, months after everyonr had graduated publicly.

Another thing she tried to pull: that, when my cat went missing..the one who got mysteriously very ill and had presumably run off to die in peace..the one she tried to sell out from under me to my gma's nurse..the one she said i didnt have the money (10 bucks a month) to care for..the one i shouldn't have taken from its mother..that one..

she had been notified, without tellinggg meeee, that my cat had been found, hit by a vehicle..and that she had 3 days to let the shelter know to operate, or they would put down my beloved Smidgen Midget..

She waited TWENTY SEVEN DAYS, saying she had no way to contact me. She had SIX WAYS, including the way she was doing so right then: I TOOK CARE OF HER OWN MOTHER EVERY FRIDAY SO SHE COULD PRETEND TO BE A CHRISTIAN AT CHURCH.

So my cat passed away..and when i was at my parents' house, I told her to tell me the shelter. She lied about which one it was, but I called around and found it. The woman got emotional and practically shouted (in ire on MY behalf) that she had told my mother 3 days and she NEVER, NEVER, NEVER got back in contact, as my mother claimed.

I told my mother to play me the voicemail where the shelter had contacted her..she said yes. I popped out to my car to grab something, was gone 30 seconds..but when I got back in, i CAUGHT HER IN THR ACT OF DELETING THE VOICEMAIL.

She then took THIS STORY and told the therapist that i had not been looking for my cat, and she had, so how much could I have loved my cat anyway?? 🥴🥴

@foldedunfolding Wow you are also no stranger to extreme manipulation and gaslighting. It's just mind boggling. I'm so sorry about your cat😕 The narcissist wants COMPLETE CONTROL at all times, and will never everrrrrrr take accountability. I will not do any therapy with my mom as she would lie and twist everything to look like she's a saint and a victim. While the truth is she ruined my Life. I'm sorry you have experienced this too .it rips your mind and soul out. 🥺

@Fukfacewillie it's nothing in comparative here. Each has their own scale of experiences... some have more dramatic lives, that doesn't mean you cannot own your own wounds, no matter what..
