That we had to move again. I had just started dating someone four days before we went on vacation on while we were on vacation, dad told me we had to move home. I was 15.
A close second is when I found out my hip bone had died and had to be replaced. It had been broken for five and a half months and I was hoping it could be saved. That's when I was 23.

@thepeculiarpanda I had a niece with bone death in both her hips. She got replacements. Was that not an option for you?

@tobynshorty I had a total replacement, yup. It was a rough year; took them five weeks to diagnose that it was broken. By the time they did, I had blood clots in my leg and groin. Then I managed to cut my foot and it got infected with cellulitis since the blood flow was so messed up from the break. After that, I was going to an orthopedist who kept assuring me it was going to heal and I was on too much pain medication to advocate for myself so we just kept going to see him.
I ended up being in the hospital six times that year.

@thepeculiarpanda wow! That’s terrible 😢

@tobynshorty Yup! Damaged my faith in the medical industry even more than it already had been. I had become chronically ill and disabled the year before the hip stuff and that was its own set of craziness.
