well it is their fault after all

Sidewinder · 36-40, M
From a psychological standpoint, Blaming, or accusing is an immature emotional response.

A more mature, sensible and logic minded human being would choose to own up to their mistakes than blame others for them.
Magenta · F
@Sidewinder Indeed.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@Sidewinder Agreed. Some cling to victim mentality and will never own their faults. I'm perfectly fine with saying I've been toxic before because I'm human.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
Yes. I'm being publicly blamed for something now, yet they've taken blame for their actions in my inbox. It's beyond ridiculous.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@4meAndyou I'm not sure what to call them, but it's been going on for a month and my character gets worse with time. It was disheartening to have my inbox turned into a doormat, along with myself, but this pathetic behavior takes the cake. Enough will be enough soon enough 😉
4meAndyou · F
@MoonlightLullaby I'd like to suggest that you take screenshots of every single PM, save them to your hard drive, and then report every single user who does this to you to Admin for harassment. It doesn't matter if "they" continually use new alts...Admin can figure out who "they" are.
MoonlightLullaby · 41-45, F
@4meAndyou It's only one user, thank goodness. Although they've corralled a nemesis for support. It's a unique situation though and calls for less than what's suggested, but I thank you greatly for the concern and support.💖🤗

Yes, it's an epidemic any more it seems like. I was raised that you do something wrong, fess up.to it right away and figure out what it's gonna take to make it right. That philosophy has served me will in life many times.

It's a self destructive mindset You see it most often in addictive personalities. For example, alcoholics typically blame everyone else for all the problems they have in their lives. It's a rare person who attends AA meetings regularly and accepts responsibility for their addiction.

Drug addicts, narcissists, and people who are mentally ill also fall into this category.
Sevendays · M
@4meAndyou yes, agreed
Musicman · 61-69, M
Yes I have. Taking responsibility for your own actions just isn't vogue anymore.
Yep... When we were in the EU, everything was the EU's fault... now we have left the EU, everything is still the EU's fault.
@HootyTheNightOwl A neat way of ensuring the 100000 homeless families don’t vote.
@sunriselover And those who live with abuse, who have been so cut off from the world (potentially for decades) that they have no one to countersign for photo ID - so, they need to find a way to get the full birth certificate of both their parents... which adds an extra £35 to a passport/driving licence application.

Yeah, no financial abuser will agree to that when they choose not to vote themselves.
@HootyTheNightOwl I see where you are coming from. But nothing we can do. Let’s hope it does not affect key marginals
Well it certainly wasn’t me.. 🤔
Camelia · F
I did, and removing them from my life was the solution. I have no time for grownups who are unable to accept some responsibility.
Thevy29 · 41-45, M
Yes. Though owning up to your misdeed can get you into trouble too. (The Judge thought I was being flippant)
GerOttman · 61-69, M
Well yeah... Otherwise it would be my fault, and that's clearly not right!
It's all your fault that you brought this subject up. Jeez.........
The British people must take the collective blame for leaving the EU, and must live with the consequences.

But the British people cannot take the blame for the plight of the people in the Gaza Strip. We look on as impotent bystanders, until we are allowed to elect a government with more compassion.
helenS · 36-40, F
Like, "I'm stuck in a traffic jam", instead of "I made a traffic jam, together with 250,000 more idiots who clog public space in their cars."
Traffic jam, that's always other people...
helenS · 36-40, F
@Sevendays ... and there wouldn't be any jam if they did, so it's their fault! 😏
Sevendays · M
@helenS and I'd be on time.
helenS · 36-40, F
@Sevendays "It's not my fault I'm late, the others are to blame!" 🤭

The democrat party constituency in the U.S.
Keaten · 31-35, M
It's like a new sub-culture.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
Yes....Some people dont understand responsibility, or consequences. I blame the American education system for not focusing on the longer words..😷
Anytime someone's pointing a finger to blame, remember that there's 3 fingers pointing back at them. Now who's to blame? They are, times three.
I just wasted 15 seconds reading this asinine post of yours when I could have been eating more meaningless calories.
Sometimes other people really are the issue. My life got better once I started cutting people out of it. 🤷‍♀️
Sevendays · M
@MorbidCynic oh, I know, I didn't mean everyone.
2ndtimeguy · 61-69, M
Our family has a rule didnt say you did it just blaming you!

They are known as liberals.

At least it's not my fault.
SandWitch · 26-30, F
Actually, I don't place blame on others even if their actions have adversely affected the outcome of my day.

Those around us are running their own game just as I am running my own game from the moment my feet hit the floor in the morning. I have a plan for my day but those around me also have a plan for their day as well.

When our individual plans are in synchronicity, our plans work in lock-step with each other though each of us may not know each other. But where our plans fall out of synchronicity is where our individual plans differ from each other somewhere in that day .

Instead of acknowledging that about each other, we tend to blame the other guy for not keeping his plan synchronized with our plan, as if our plan was the official Master Plan and held some level of greater intrinsic importance than the other guy's plan.

This leads to finger pointing and blaming the other guy for not following our plan which didn't include him in the first place!
