From a psychological standpoint, Blaming, or accusing is an immature emotional response.

A more mature, sensible and logic minded human being would choose to own up to their mistakes than blame others for them.

@Sidewinder Agreed. Some cling to victim mentality and will never own their faults. I'm perfectly fine with saying I've been toxic before because I'm human.
