Depends on how they ask.

If they ask in an entitled way, like I HAVE to be grateful for them asking me out, then I wouldn't be that interested and would either ghost them after the first date, or just straight up avoid them after they ask.

If they ask in a normal, regular "hey, I think you look good. Wanna go out some time?" Kind of way, then I wouldn't feel much besides being intrigued, and if the first date goes well, then I'd be happy to see where it goes afterwards.

If they ask in a shy way, like they're scared I'm going to reject them, I'd be super flattered and gladly go out with them on a few dates.

No problem with it at all. I'd actually prefer it -- removes the fear of rejection I feel if I did the asking.

My wife turned me down when I asked her for a date in high school. A month later, she asked me out. If you say "no" when she asks you out, you might miss a great opportunity.
