Out of all the bills you pay, which one do you dislike the most?

Community charge.

I don’t mind paying for the police, or the fire brigade, or even social services. But the rest is an insult.

Just the ones i HAVE to. Council tax. I dont mind. . Rain from south west water. The CEO is on 850.000 per year so obviously the monies needed as they are a struggling company. A french company for electricity and gas. And then taxees on everything from food to wiping our backsides.

It HAS to be my cable tv bill...which is sucked right out me IN my rent...and which goes up every year. It's the ONLY bill that actually makes me angry. Comcast got my apartment management people to sign a deal that this ENTIRE building would always be wired exclusively for Comcast.

When I moved in here, I didn't even OWN a tv set...(I used to stream everything)...so just IMAGINE my resentment back THEN!!!

We are not ALLOWED to opt out. We are not ALLOWED to shop around and find a better provider.
The basic television package was JUST okay when I first moved in here...but over the years Comcast has removed more and more channels...and the price just keeps going up. It's at $32 a month right now. When I moved in here, 9 years ago, it was $19 a month.

My provincial government privatized the utilities (gas and electricity).

As a result, our bills are like 70% "administrative fees". They continue to go up because some fat cat in a suit needs to be rich.

Insurance. It is required but getting them to pay a legit claim is like pulling teeth from a shark.

Property tax and or Water/sewer....both are insanely too high

local water runoff tax and yearly state car tax on every vehicle, boat , trailer, etc.

TV licence... nobody should be paying an extra tax just to watch TV.
