Made it to Corpus Christi TX. Temperature is 94F (34C) feels like 102F (39C) here so no outside activity until later. So I will share a word of the day.

I just learned that the campground and park in Tennessee is under water. The campground did get evacuated and personnel are safe. Cleaning up and rebuilding will take a while so keep those affected in your thoughts.

Went off the GPS route because Lake Catherine State Park spoke to me. 24 mile round trip was worth it to check out the lake, campground and cabins.
