I've not seen one in years. I used to see in my garden. It's actually quite to hard to realize they are bats, cause they come out in the dark and you would typically think it's a bird.
Sure, hundreds of them (mostly in the warmer months). They fly through my yard in the evenings. When construction crews turn on their halogen lights at night, they'll attract moths ... which in turn attract bats (dinner is served).
I used to have an office in the main administration building on campus, up in the top floor. One day, I come into work and see something stuck on the brick wall. A closer look showed it was a bat clinging to the wall. Apparently the attic of the building, right above our heads, has become the nesting grounds for a rare species of bats, and sometimes, they get down into the offices below.
Yes. Saw them in a rural school area the night the boy graduated from that private school. They had installed bat houses around the school. Also had one swoop by my head when we were working and taking a break outside one morning.
Indeed! They are small and cute fruit bats who normall roost in the mango trees in the neighbourhood park right where its densest so you have a really tough time spotting them. Otherwise there's always the Singapore Zoo!

Go outside near a wooded area around dusk and throw some dirt up into the air, if you have bats around they'll come zooming down thinking the dirt are bugs.
