What was the most complicated phase of your life?

When the kids were little and my wife and I were both working and our parents health was failing. Being the anchor to all those people is complicated. Now that the parents are gone and the kids are grown, my life is relatively simple and thank goodness for that.

Adjusting to becoming single (by choice) the day before my 50th birthday in 2018. But it's a journey I embraced because it wasn't about me per se but about the safety and welfare of my now 8 y/o daughter. In that time I've bought myself (by myself) a house, and just two months ago clocked over 10 years continuous employment with my existing employer. First three years as a direct-hired casual, then perm ft, then for last few year perm part time.

When i became a single mother after 22 years of marriage. My babies are 23 and soon to be 20 next week. We got through it, God is good.

Raising the kids, while paying the mortgage and caring for parents, all at the same time..Thank goodness the dog did a lot of the looking after the kids..😷

The most complicated? Hmm i guess i would say going through family court.. so much was happening during that time and i honestly didnt think i and several others would survive it..
You never really know how you will react whem pushed to your breaking limit. Probably the easiest way to truly find out who you are is when that limit is surpassed

My teens first and then this one but I'm enjoying this one more as I have more say in this one. It's weird starting your life over at this age.

Immediate post-graduate, losing my student deferment, severely limited on employment due to my high military draft status, being drafted, surviving a chaotic two years in the Army, becoming involved with a German family while there, finding a post-Army job when my chosen profession was shrinking drastically. All crammed into about a 4 year window.

Raising my children when they were deep in trauma and attachment disorder.

13-14 when I wasn't the most popular or most athletic kid, which I was in elementary school. It got a lot better in the 9th grade when I was 14 and more popular again.

dealing with my job, i was on call 24/7 365, and my wife and children's needs

Logistically was when my girls were young and I was a married single parent. Emotionally started in 2024 and continues.

I guess going to like twelve different schools from 6th to 9th grade after my parents split up. Or maybe the growth hormone treatments being a short kid. there's a bunch of stuff I don't even wanna talk about.

Quitting drinking and going through my first divorce at the same time.

So far? Eh, well, learning to read was a bit of a struggle till it just clicked. That sucked. Being taught in class, special classes, after achool and on weekends. Having my parents yell and scream at me because I just wanted to go out and play.

I wouldn't use the word complicated when thinking of my life.

Being unhappily married.. but i’m trying to be better 😳🤐

Um, probably when I was around 23-24?

This year has been a different kinda complicated but not the same.

Navigating a career, then the challenges and choices that came when it changed.
