What is one popular food or meal that everybody seems to love except for you?

@deadmoon I am sure there is a few more cheeses that would go on the list. But I do consider myself to be a cheese guy. Make a hell of a lot of assorted smoked cheese all the time.

I’m sure I have some other cheeses I wouldn’t like. I just don’t know them all. There are like, 2,000 different types of cheeses out there.

@Coralmist I think the only kind of meat I don’t like is lamb. It has a very weird flavor I can’t get past. In terms of seafood, my palate is a bit smaller. Salmon, shrimp, lobster (if fried because grilled or steamed tastes nasty), scallops, calamari… think that’s about it.

@Ambroseguy80 Is it the fat? Because I agree. That’s why I hate ribeyes. The texture just grosses me out. I can enjoy every other lean steak though. I just don’t like copious amounts of fat in it.

@deadmoon I think that’s exactly what it is. I can only eat certain types of steaks. Cube steak is one of the those types I seem to find easier to eat.

@smileylovesgaming I wasn't even really considering sub sandwiches in my response but no I've never been a big fan of Subway either. I'll do Jersey Mike's....I like the chicken philly subs.

@SpectralMourning I kind of miss seeing my uncle. He would all was do like hamburgers and home made ice cream. Then when he died my family would just do plan sandwiches for lunch. I'm like seriously this is our lunch. I usually go home and make a subway

@Magenta Ugh. You’re right about bland white rice. It has to be brown rice and well seasoned, right?

Personally for me… I’m not super big on rice, any kind of rice. I’ll eat it if that’s what I have on my plate (though I usually put sour cream on bland white raise to make it taste like something), but any kind of dish that comes with rice, I prefer to swap the rice out for some noodles instead.

@deadmoon Yes I concur. I have had coconut and lavender flavored and didn't mind it. Rarely will I eat it at a restaurant.

@Magenta Coconut and lavender… didn’t even know rice came in those flavors too. 😱 I don’t like coconut so I doubt I’d enjoy that one. Lavender though… that might be passable.

@meggie I love seafood but my closest friend has a severe shellfish allergy.

@AbsolutelyFabulous Duck is one of those things that looks very good when it’s roasted, glazed, and sliced on a plate (think peking duck) but never lives up to its delicious-looking appearance.

@AbsolutelyFabulous I feel the same way about turkey, lol. Let’s face it… both are very dry and very bland-tasting birds. We might as well just let them live if they don’t make for an enjoyable meal, lol. I’d rather have a nice, spiral ham on Thanksgiving anyway. It’s more tasty.

@WasEP 🤮🤮🤮 You know what? I can’t even imagine how those would taste, but the slimy texture alone when I see somebody else eating them is enough to trigger MY gag reflex!

I love it when it is homemade and boozy though. It tastes a million times better than store bought eggnog.

@deadmoon My grandfather had a homemade recipe with bourbon and vanilla that was amazingly delicious. When I turned 21, he had a couple of bottles shipped to me.

@bijouxbroussard My mother has a homemade recipe with bourbon and vanilla too! It’s crazy what a difference a good, homemade eggnog makes compared to a store bought one, isn’t it? They don’t even taste the same.

@deadmoon Yes and cartilage I can't stand it, same as fat on any kind of meat.

@Lilnonames oh these ones have a slight sweet vanilla Greek yogurt base with fruit mixture on bottom that you stir up...like the cherry one is delicious!
