the whole damn thing. cut it up completely, then mash it flat with my fork, butter, salt, pepper, sour cream, yum. lots of fiber and extra nutrients in the skin.

@samueltyler2 definitely crispy, they can keep the microwave.
Kygirl · F
I would love to be able to bake you a potato in my AirFryer. I taken by complete surprise when I just rubbed them in olive oil and covered in sea salt and put it directly in the AirFryer.
Gusman · 61-69, M
Yes, baked with skin on. Supposedly that is where a great deal of the nutrients are.
LadyGrace · 70-79
Just the inside part.
Lilymoon · F
Skin if I made it.

Just the inside part. The skin always tastes like dirt to me no matter how well it is washed
Kygirl · F
I eat just the inside but I hear all your vitamins are in the pelling.
Jordan420 · 56-60, F
the skin too. I never ew of any other way !!
Galanr40 · 61-69, M
Normally the skin as well...
AmericanBroad · 31-35, FVIP
Just the inside part
Swoop62 · M
@AmericanBroad I do the whole thing and even better if it was salted while cooking.
AthrillatheHunt · 51-55, M
I usually eat the whole baked potato. I even like the skin a little crispy. Lol
Swoop62 · M
@AthrillatheHunt hey thanks, it comes back from the dead from time to time. A question that does not go off to die.
Repete · 61-69, M
Didn’t know a potato was a nut 🙃
Yes I eat the whole thing , liked them better when cooked in a wood stove , just my opinion.

Of course! The outer peeling has minerals and vitamins you can get no where else. Besides I like the crunchiness!
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
The vitamins are in the skin. Insides, you just get carbs.
Kygirl · F
@dancingtongue
I agree with what you are saying but I love mashed potatoes, fried, potatoes and baked potatoes. I love hash browns, potatoe cakes, potato salad, I like gratin potatoes, to be perfectly honest with you there's not many ways that I don't love potatoes.

Me too I’m a foodie :) @Kygirl
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
@Kygirl Totally agree. Just saying that if you want full nutritional value, include the skins -- and I like skins on for fried and even potato salad (when made with little red ones). But the skins are particularly good when baked or roasted, and crispy, as well as healthier, so why discard them?
Lilymoon · F
and more importantly why is this still in the feed it's 2016 🙄😄
dancingtongue · 80-89, M
The vitamins and nutrients are in the skin, so of course.
saragoodtimes · F
the skin is the best part
bravo55 · 70-79, M
The best part!
Lady90 · F
Whole thing
I eat it all
Kygirl · F
No I don't eat the skin but I sure do eat potatoes. I eat fried potatoes, mashed potatoes, baked potatoes, boiled potatoes, scalloped potatoes, and I even love good baked potato soup and potatoes chips.
GerOttman · 61-69, M
If the shell looks good sometimes I stuff some butter in it and eat it like a pita.
WillieT · 61-69, M
Red or gold potatoes, I eat the skin. The skin on the russets is too thick and chewy for me.
Kygirl · F
Can't wait to cook for the kids...
Next Monday about 5:00pm.

I bake it till its crunchy eat the center then fill with butter salt pepper paprika and ceyene pepper and eat them last.most give me the skin to eat lol
All of it. I eat pizza crusts too
Swoop62 · M
Waste not, want not is the motto there. I sometimes will eat the whole crust but depends on the crust type. I do make the whole potato disappear. Thanks for the reply.
cherokeepatti · 61-69, F
I eat the skin if I make it at home because I scrub it really good
Swoop62 · M
I do see the point as not sure what a restaurant did with it, I have actually seen dirt in the aluminum foil. Thanks for your time to answer.
If I'm really hungry, I'll eat the skin, too
Swoop62 · M
Appreciate the answer and I about always eat the whole thing but the foil. :)

Well I would not say 100% either but high percent, sometimes the shell is not clean either. Thanks for the reply
NigelDoes · 56-60, M
All of it.
Swoop62 · M
I do that also and more do than I thought so far. Thanks.
Kygirl · F
You must be a city boy 😁😁😁 us country folks calls it a peeling lol.
Just kidding, I guess that it is a shell because I wrap it up in foil and bake it. After it gets done I squeeze it and mash it carefully and then I gently open up the foil with the peeling and spread it open and pile up high with real butter and salt and dig in.
Am I dreaming or has Arby's brought back there baked potatoes? I was there yesterday going thru the drive thu and I thought that I saw them on the menu.

Diyanne · F
@Swoop62: Ohh okayy. ☺

Appreciate the answer and I do as well and don't recall how that started.
