Been a Flash fan since I was a kid. Wonder Woman too. For villains, Circe is my top pick. Frankly the “naturally everyone should serve me, I’m a goddess” attitude is a whole mood. Love it.
My favorite villains are Nyarlathotep, Azathoth and Cthulhu of course. Superheroes? There are no superheroes. Only humans who will become insane, or kill themselves when they see Nyarlathotep.
It's a blessing that we don't understand the universe. Those who do will become mentally deranged. The universe was not made for us. We are irrelevant.
@Lugwho Try "The Music of Erich Zann", it's a good starting point to enter the Lovecraft's weird cosmos. It should be available for free on the internet.
@helenS I have that. Read it way back when I first got into Lovecraft. Surprisingly I found out Chambers was more known for romance than horror.
If you want something interesting from the historic perspective, I’d recommend The Cult of Alien Gods by Jason Colavito. It’s about HP Lovecraft and his influence on culture.
