What death of a famous person shocked you most?

JFK Jr and his wife Carolyn - I used to see them near my work a few times a week, even nodded hello - then read about them in the news...

Tom Petty. And from an overdose? I had no idea. I never associated him with drugs.

Donny Hathaway. I'm still in denial. He had such a beautiful voice and to take his own life was just incomprehensible to me.

Clearly JFK. I will forever remember exactly where i was and what i was doing when i found out.

JFK's assassination. I was only 13 years old and home watching watching TV when the news broke. At that age I wasn't really prepared for something like that to happen.

Elvis. I wasn't expecting it. He was only 42.

JFK for sure. I was in algebra class and another teacher came in and informed the class. It didn't fully set in until I got home and turned on the tv after school. In those days the news just wasn't on outside of their regular slots unless it was really serious.
