That approval should be automatic Mae? I am on Medicare with secondary insurance and have had many MRI'S and no problems with payments. You doctor should take care of you need authorization. It not right your in pain.

FINALLY! The doctors are putting me on a pain management program! I am very thankful. And I did miles at the gym too!

Today I got the results of the nuclear full body scan. They found no abnormalities, no cancer, no arthritis and no inflammation. This is VERY good news!! 👍️🌹🙌🥳😌

I took my final test today. The specialist believes I have a nerve disease. It is too early to determine which one. I will be going back to my primary care physician for pain management. I got the green light to go back into gym training again!! Yay! I want to thank everyone who has prayed for me or sent me messages of encouragement though this long process. I truly appreciate each of you! It is a blessing to belong to such supportive group of caring people! 🤗😘😊

Update: I took the nerve and muscle tests. They are very painful. But, I am glad they are done now. I will wait to hear the results.

Finally! I will be having the MRI on Tuesday! That is very good news for me.

I am very disappointed. The MRI didn't show any problems with my back. The pain seems to be growing more intense every day. I am hoping that I will find some answers soon.

Update: I saw a neurologist today. He will perform the Nerve Conductive Study again in May on my arms and legs. Hopefully I will have the results of the full body bone scan by then. 😢 I was hoping I saw the last of all those needles!

The pain is becoming unbearable again. I thought I was making progress! 😒

I had the bone scan. I'm home again. All I can do now is wait for the results.

Another update:

I saw the rheumatoid specialist today. He believes I have an autoimmune disease. There are 80 different autoimmune disease so, it might take a while to find out which one I have. He has ordered more tests. He prescribed muscles relaxers and quinine. The good news is that I can get back into the gym now. 💪

Thank you everyone for you love, prayers, wishes and kind words. I finally got the pain medication I needed so badly. Hopefully the MRI will be approved soon.

Update from Doctor: It is an autoimmune disease. Some are hard to diagnose. I need to learn to live with symptoms and continue taking the quinine.

That's sad. I hurt my back several weeks ago and I have been in a lot of pain. It's getting better, but I feel so old and hopeless. Get better!

On Friday I will be having a full body necular bone scan.

I don’t understand why you can’t take anything for pain even without the MRI. Can’t he try to treat what he suspects just to give you some relief?

I pray that the insurance issue gets resolved immediately and there's a relief from the pain. Hopefully the MRI can point to quick and sustained repair and relief.

Orthopedic pain feeds itself. But physical therapist and pain killers can be like miracle workers.

Pain killers prescriptions are under increased monitoring now. Some require urine or blood test to confirm that the prescribed patient is actually the one taking the medicine and not passing it o or selling it to someone else. I'm personally aware of two people who died because of OD on prescription pain meds. Frightening. Also frightening is that the increased oversight is causing serious pain and suffering for people in pain.

Update: I wont hear any results on the bone scan for at least another week. I appreciate all your prayers and kind wishes. 🤗💕

I'm sorry to hear that you are in so much pain, it must be difficult and frustrating for you. Do you have such thing as a TENS machine over there or similar?
