I Need Somewhere To Vent, Without Fear Of Judgement

I am in so much pain it is almost unbearable and no one can help me until Medicare approves or disapproves the MRI my Orthopedic Surgeon ordered!! I can't take anything for the pain until after I have had the MRI either!!

Update: I will be having an MRI on Tuesday! Thank you for all your prayers and kind wishes.

Update: I have had the MRI, X-rays of knees and hips and a lot of bloodwork. Still no answers.

Next will be some nerve tests (EMD) and a visit to a rheumatologist.

Update: The nerve conductive study was done yesterday. I am waiting to hear the results as soon as the report has been written.

Update: I got the results back from the test on Monday. It was great news. My nerves and muscles are all working properly.

Update: I was able to get an earlier appointment to see the rheumatologist on the 4th of March! That is good news.

So with the updates ended, how have things turned out? Are you doing better? Did the rheumatologist have any answers?
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@ContributorJo The rheumatologist says I have a autoimmune disease. The good news is that I can go back to the gym again and get stronger.

Did they give a name to the autoimmune disease? Maybe give you any hope for treatment?
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@ContributorJo They took more tests. I haven't heard back yet.

I wish you well. There is enough suffering in the world. I would like to hear the tale of how things workout well for you.
Is medical marijuana available to you? Also CBD is legal everywhere as it is not psychoactive. If other approaches fail it would be worth trying. I know it is effective for things like fibromyalgia. Perhaps there is some relief there for you as well?
I applaud your desire to workout. That helps everything but it's hard to motivate yourself when you're in pain. You might try gentle exercise like tai chi or yoga.

@ContributorJo I might try tai chi. I think I would enjoy that.

I've been doing it for years. It is excellent for leg and core strength. Great for meditative focus And very energizing.

@ContributorJo I need my tight core back! It is very good for my back.

Also great for joint flexibility.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@ContributorJo I am still pretty flexible. I was doing cross fit training not that long ago.

You certainly look fit in your public pictures. It's always easier to regain than attain. I've been in martial arts my whole life so when I've gotten sidelined by injury its been easier to bounce back.
I'm sure it will be for you too.
SweetMae · 70-79, F
@ContributorJo Thank you. I think so too.
