I Need Somewhere To Vent, Without Fear Of Judgement

I am in so much pain it is almost unbearable and no one can help me until Medicare approves or disapproves the MRI my Orthopedic Surgeon ordered!! I can't take anything for the pain until after I have had the MRI either!!

Update: I will be having an MRI on Tuesday! Thank you for all your prayers and kind wishes.

Update: I have had the MRI, X-rays of knees and hips and a lot of bloodwork. Still no answers.

Next will be some nerve tests (EMD) and a visit to a rheumatologist.

Update: The nerve conductive study was done yesterday. I am waiting to hear the results as soon as the report has been written.

Update: I got the results back from the test on Monday. It was great news. My nerves and muscles are all working properly.

Update: I was able to get an earlier appointment to see the rheumatologist on the 4th of March! That is good news.

Ohh nooo .... I'm adding you to our prayer list.

I pray that the insurance issue gets resolved immediately and there's a relief from the pain. Hopefully the MRI can point to quick and sustained repair and relief.

Orthopedic pain feeds itself. But physical therapist and pain killers can be like miracle workers.

Pain killers prescriptions are under increased monitoring now. Some require urine or blood test to confirm that the prescribed patient is actually the one taking the medicine and not passing it o or selling it to someone else. I'm personally aware of two people who died because of OD on prescription pain meds. Frightening. Also frightening is that the increased oversight is causing serious pain and suffering for people in pain.

@Heartlander Thank you. I appreciate that so much. I am doing PT three times a week. They gave me oxycodone but that does nothing for nerve pain. At least it helps me to get some rest.

@SweetMae If is hasn't already been mentioned, you may want to see a pain specialist/physician. They have a pretty big bag of cures that may lessen and possibly eliminate the pain ... epidurals, ablation procedures, pain killer meds, topical applications, patches, physical therapy.

One would hope that the pain can be treated independently of whatever the underlying issue. Sometimes the underlying issue may not have good fix, or a fix may be too risky, but a painfree life is still possible.

@Heartlander I will certainly check into that. Thank you so much.
